This video came up in my KZbin feed and I watched it again-now I’m inspired to make another pair of Selbu mittens. Love your many many mitt patterns ❤

Your layback attitude is what I need to hear. Instead of clenching my jaw I’ll think of you and remember to go with the flow and have fun

Thanks so much! Please create more tutorials for stranded knitting techniques. You are an excellent teacher and your uo-close camera shots are clear and easy to follow. As a newbie in stranded knitting, I'd sure love more tutorials from you. You're the best!

Thank you for doing this! Very informative. I know you’ve said in past that you aren’t good at doing tutorials, but this came out very good. Clear, concise, easy to follow and to see what you were doing.👍🏻

Thank you for this! I'm knitting mittens like this for my partner for Xmas and the thumb had me stumped. Thank you for explaining this!!

Great! Thank you. Good to know even someone who is so experienced has trouble with holes. Good to know what I am doing is correct. Or, if it works, it's correct. Great pattern too.

Thank you so very much Eli, this was so timely. I was going to write you because after finishing the body of the first mitten, I was stuck as to how to continue with the thumb. I thought it would be simple and yet couldn't get my mind around it. This was just what I needed.

Thank you for this demonstration. I hope you had a fairly uncomplicated filming experience, and I found it particularly helpful to see you knitting with larger needles and to see that it still comes out nice and tidy at the end, because I am also a very tight knitter! Thanks for showing us your magic loop jog avoidance technique again, I will be trying that out soon!

Thank you so much! I wish I could say I did, but my housemates were home and loud ;D Nothing wrong with being a tight knitter. We just get to use bigger needles!

Thank you for sharing this! Now I learned that I definitely do my thumbs differently than yours -- I'll have to experiment with your method when I knit my sixth pair of mittens for the year. :)

I should've prefaced the video by saying there are lots of wright ways of doing the thumbs, and this is just the way I have found useful. :)

Eli that was fantastic. It helped so much, that I will buy the mitten club this year. I haven’t before because I’ve only ever tried to knit 🧶 one pair previously and made a big hash of said thumb area. That has given me so much confidence to try again. Please do more you are a natural. 😀👌🏼😀👌🏼😀

This was nicely done. Are you still doing mitten club, I ask because this was done some time ago.
@SkeindeerKnits3 жыл бұрын
I did the Selbu mitten clubs in 2017, 2018 and 2019. I had to take a break in 2020 and 2021 due to my PhD, but I'm currently running 'Skeindeer's Matchy -matchy accessory club" that you might like :)

Skeindeer knits thank you for your prompt reply. PhD is a good thing to be working on.
