When you get to the shortcut part, make sure you do what he does, not what he says. Every time he says to push right (and down) briefly, what he *actually* does is push left (!) briefly (same with saying push left but actually pushing right). If you slow it down and watch carefully, what actually happens is he briefly pushes towards the way he wants the ball to go, then quickly moves the stick to the other side, which prevents extra turning. This second preventative part is the part that's easy to see at full speed, and probably the only part he does consciously, but if you watch at slow speed you'll see the contrary intro pattern every time.

Yo spook, I have air roll bound to L1, air roll left to □, and air roll right to ○. Is it okay to just use normal air roll if that's what I've started getting used to or should I just rip the bandage off now and start using air roll left/right for these air roll shots. This mechanic alone can take your accuracy to whole new levels for shots and passes! Just curious as if manual air roll is better in the situation?

Manual air roll is great for these shots as it lets you more precisely adjust for the right angle so most definitely carry on with that Leprequad

Thats why you dont watch his videos cause he's full of sht and nothing is ever set in stone with what this kiddo's saying. For example his direction air roll video where he says ''Joystick up to the right, you go left. Joystick down to the right, you go right'' which is false. Most of the shit he's saying is false. It has a sense of truth to it but it's never the full story.

Perhaps not a problem with your air mechanics as much as your reading of the ball? Half of an aerial in game is a perfect take off and reading the balls flight. I say less time on rings and more on packs with rebounds and big looping shots.

@Chris Williams if I’m honest I’m not entirely sure because I have quite a solid training routine in place so it’s difficult to know which part contributes more or less if that makes sense? It’s a cumulative effect. I do for some reason find air roll aerial shots difficult more from the amount my brains got to process. The play initially, jumping, watching opponents, working out which way and how much to air roll, boosting enough but not too much and then doing all so within the time to keep the flip to make it worth while lol

@Chris Williams I’ve just had a look at that video, it’s really good and gives me some other ideas for training there 🙏 I think he seems to be doing them differently to Luke (both ways seem really good) Luke seems to tilt more using the non directional air roll and then tilts away opposite to the angle he wants to shoot before flipping into it whilst yeeza seems to air roll with directional air roll all the way aroun until his car faces the shot (if that makes sense?)

I've learned how to properly use air roll with tornado spin for little adjustments, as I use air roll right I've learned everything from the left side of my stick, but what about reversed tornado spin and the right side of the stick? Could you cover that in a video?

Okay lemme tell you. When "jumping", press "x" on PS4, and press "spacebar" on PC. If you want to jump on XBOX, press the button that shows. When jumping, you can move your joystick with your thumb to alternate the direction of your jump. This can be extremely useful when going for the ball in a tight angle. If you want to build momentum and perform a more effective jump, walk, or boost before your jump to gain more distance. I hOpE tHiS hElPs!!!

@@EPICGAMER-mx3ws walking, is a super hard mechanic to master in rocket league. It requires, uh, well just walking/driving. It is used to move your car in an Intended direction, or even maneuver your car whilst in the air to build aerial force. To do this, hold R2 on PS4, RT on XBOX and W on PC. When driving, you can boost (holding circle or even space on PC) to increase speed of your driving, and build momentum to hit the ball faster. You can also hold the joysticks or WASD to control the direction of your car, so you can hit the ball at different angles.

I been watching your videos this past week and your videos help a lot but I can’t seem to get this down. When I get the ball on the wall then jump off it’s either I jump too far from it or when I try to stay with the ball to fly I kind of spin out a little bit in the air. I play claw and my slide and air roll are on the left bumper then my boost is on the right. My air roll left is X and my air roll right is B. Anything I could change to make it easier? I can’t seem to level myself out I over due something and I can’t figure out exactly why. I hope this made sense.
