How to align your CO2 laser beam What not to do.

Bare with me and watch the full video and pay close attenion to the text on the screen and my instructions and you should be alining in no time. This is a 130watt OMTech machine but most machines are setup the same and the concepts of alining are the same If you have any questions leave a comment and I'll try to respond with more information.

Great explanation! I was definitely wasting a ton of then by trying to align to the center when the mirrors were close to each other.

I spent almost 2 weeks going in circles until I figured it out after that it only took about five minutes mostly because I had to pluse and make adjustments myself lol I was so in over my head.

Hi Avery, this is Cam. Just watched the whole thing. The information is great. I love that you hit on the proper alignment techniques i.e. making adjustments in the far position and using the near position as a reference point. I also love that you reaffirmed that hitting center was not important until your mirrors are aligned. You said this several times to avoid confusion. My criticism comes with the overall execution of the video. If you had showed how to make adjustments on the knobs, had some close ups to the pulses, showed an actual alignment, and hit on the 3rd mirror, then I’d be pinning this in the group. Maybe you generalized that part because it’s been showed in so many other videos. Regardless, I found this to be very informative and appreciate the time you took to put this together.

Hey Cam yes I definitely agree but I let my cameras get the best of me along with editing so I decided to stop trying to show the full process because it is really hard to do a walk threw and not have my mic going crazy while catching ask the angles also you guys already had great videos on how to move the beam so I scraped that part of my video. I do plan on making a video on third mirror aliment because I found a really easy way to do it

What if all three corners are spot on the third mirror, except the back right? There the beam is lower on the the third mirror. What do you suggest ?

The only way three corners will be perfect and one is off is if either alignment isn't true or you have the machine really off level in that corner send me a pm and I can assist further.

To me looks like leveling problem. As i move the head from front right to back right the beam goes off. Is there any chance to level it?

This sounds like alingment very low chance its leveling but to know for sure I’ll need to trouble shoot over a video call
