Can you actually do a series on How to lead meetings? But with actual examples of what to say. How do you greet internal vs external guests? How do you introduce topics? Types of follow up questions when managing an array of projects: process improvement, workforce optimization, onboarding new clients, integration of new products, travel plans. What to do when a risk surfaces during a meeting? In these meetings, there are a lot of technical jargon floating around whereas the pjm would need to be laser focused on noting the next steps, resolution, the who, what, when, why. What advise would you give in note taking? What is a PJM's next step after the meeting? How do you reiterate next steps at the end of calls of you barely understand? What to do when there is a dialect issue? These are just a few in which I find that many new project managers struggle with.

I enjoyed this video. It’s not about project management but I particularly enjoyed it and engaged with it because many men / lads do not stop to think about the importance of these things. I also did not for a long time. Indeed most of us men are not materialistic but how we are perceived is important and this is primarily in self presentation, communication and then experience and expertise. 🤦🏾‍♂️😀

Got one during Covid to steam clean everything. Now it’s like a revelation when it comes to ironing. The lines just disappear😳

Finally there is semi formal clothing - Marks and Spencer are actually making a comeback in this post covid world. For formal shirts, suits etc - That is a long story. 😂

When it comes to skincare 😂😂😂 we men know little or nothing about skincare. But just go to boots and the ladies there are very knowledgable. And that knowledge is priceless. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Perhaps it’s time to get a girlfriend that will teach you then ( and btw that was not a segue for you to move to me lol, you need to stop that 😫)

@@pitolinmotion Ire did you say make a move on you?🤣🤣🤣 If I remember I wanted to visit that Nigerian Enish restaurant and wanted you to come along 🤔 and you rejected my offer 🤦🏾‍♂️😀 It’s interesting how women naturally read into / assume things that are not there. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I think it’s a bad strategy as that’s how woman miss their blessings, in this case a plate of Free Nice Nigerian food. 😀 Honestly - I am way too focused / principled and have very little time for women / girlfriends. I would not normally engage with / go for someone like you - (just being honest). I was raised and can afford to be a 100% provider and I actually enjoy providing so I didn’t feel I needed anything from a woman. However I recently got back from a trip to Montenegro with my best friend and his wife and saw the value of a working woman (this is a concept that I never considered before) but here is a lady that was acting as rocket fuel projecting my friend to new heights that even He did not imagine He was capable of yet she was fun, appreciative, smart, supportive, loving and caring. This I must confess affected my perspective which rarely happens. After the trip my friend called and said please my wife is insisting that the next holiday you have to come along because your presence made the trip so much more fun and enjoyable. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I actually took that as a complement. Anyway the invite to Enish was to attempt to find out more about your personality offscreen and then perhaps build a new friendship. But you declined 😀. And as they say Life has to go on. 🤷🏿‍♂️

I like that you talk about grooming and ironing. It doesn’t even show that you don’t take care of yourself. It shows that you are disorganised and cannot plan your life and time properly 🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️. Clothes you wear, exercise schedule, food, nutrition, prayer time and spiritual growth, Learning and development, grooming. All these need to be planned and organised in advance.

Obviously you are talking from the perspective of women. For men In terms of mens bags and leather goods. I recommend Tumi or Mont Blanc. My bags and wallet are Tumi but my work pens and case are Mont Blanc.

But then their is the shoes. When it comes to shoes you can’t beat the British brand Clarks when it comes to comfort and then there is russell and bromley these 2 go with everything . But you also have high end formal shoe makers - Crockett & Jones, Edward Green etc Timberland, Red wing make great shoes that go with semi formal clothing - unlike watches designer shoes like Gucci are not as frowned upon but they have to be discrete ie cannot be the loud ones with the logo everywhere 🤦🏾‍♂️

Then there is the watch - please as men stay away from designer watches - dkny, Gucci watch - these show that a guy knows nothing about watches 🤦🏾‍♂️ If starting get a casio. The casioak with Bluetooth Time is an excellent watch - but the next Level is a Chronograph and there are 3 main ones 1) Rolex Daytona - silver - if you like luxury. Hard to get though 2) Zenith Chronomaster - esp for a man with vision, a hard worker 3) Breitling - this is for a guy that has a sense of adventure - airplanes, fast cars, boats etc. 😊 Obviously their are others as long as it’s a Swiss watchmaker you are good. Like Omega, Vacheron Constantine, Brands like AP, Patek are more like show off or very successful. You hardly see Richard Mille in the workplace - maybe it looks too sporty. For men at work if there is one thing that is important - I think it’s the watch 🤦🏾‍♂️

@@pitolinmotion it was great seeing a woman’s perspective. Never noticed that actually as most working women just seem to do / wear whatever they want. 😀 I mean one of my colleagues currently has Pink hair and this is a high level professional. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Nothing wrong with that tbh, I personally think that people should be able to be themselves cos tbh they are hired for their brains not their looks, so yeah the video wasn’t to police people, but more to show people practical ways to maintain an low maintenance look at work lol

@@pitolinmotion I agree personally - nothing wrong with pink hair. But I don’t think a man with pink hair will be taken very seriously. 😊 I do disagree with you though - presentation matters in the real world. Indeed it’s her expertise in her role but when it comes to time for promotion, salary increases, visiting clients etc. The presentation and communication will matter. I actually if I’m going to be honest Never judge but it’s really not about you or me. It’s more about how the world works and those things are important because we don’t live in a vacuum. I did an experiment on my Father - the great man himself - after I graduated from Nottingham and went back to Nigeria for a few months. Now this is my Father who knows all my achievements and accolades in the U.K. Got there and the talk was about the first son just back from the U.K. 3 weeks later, I had allowed my hair to grow, wearing cheap clothes and shoes. To me I just wanted to keep it low key / reset and before you know what’s happening even the way I was being addressed had changed. Mast go and wash the car, Mast go and do this and that. Nothing wrong with those things but what I concluded is that even the respect that many people in the world have for you is based over 90% on how you are perceived. For me as a contractor I just realised via trial and error that I could earn around 30% more money just based on how I was perceived. That’s when the arguement stopped. 😂

@m77ast yeah presentation matters. I was just saying that to me it shouldn’t, also it depends on your environment and the culture of the place. In my office the directors were flip flops and shorts to work in summer. Works for me, but not for every environment . But yeah it matters in this society
