Hey girl, I just started my job as a project coordinator, on last month and I love it!!!!

Question: I've been in business for 20 years, had several types of businesses, also been a director in several fields throughout my careers, I've even sat on non profit boards, so I can definitely "jazz up" my CV to reflect these as projects. 😊 I've taken many projects from inception to completion but do I need to know all the terminology associated with pm to communicate these accomplishments? And do I need to know about all the different software? Thank you for sharing the info,, very helpful 🙏🏾

Over the years I've worked with some terrible project managers. The biggest issue is thinking that the role of a PM is to have meetings and check status. Managing includes scrutinizing deliverables, removing blockers, making sure that things are always moving forward, figuring out how to adjust the budget when unexpected things come up, preventing scope creep, and communicating with everyone all the time. Communication is the biggest point of failure IMO. Telling people what happened instead of sharing with them how things are going.

My second month as a Pm, and this is very helpful.

Thank you for your video. Despite my years as a Project Manager, I've never worked with a budget document, only time tracking numbers for the Director to handle the budget document, and that frustrates me. I'm curious to learn what standard budget documentation typically looks like.
