My doubts appear in the points that must be taken into account depending on the sector in which the company is dedicated. Because evaluating a mining company is not the same as a technological one. What points must be taken into account for each sector. Thank you for sharing these videos, they are very clear and educational.

5:20 You explained this in a needlessly-confusing way. Each time you say that they cover "a specific period of time" (and you seem to emphasize that phrase each time as if it's somehow a unique trait of each despite being described the same trait, word-for-word each time). So why not just say that once at the beginning before listing any of them? Why not just say "each of these will always cover just a specific period of time, sometimes even the same exact period of time, but can visualize the details of that time in different ways to highlight different strategy needs...". And the rest of the explanations is just jargon on top of jargon anyway. I feel like I have a better shot of understanding them if I just mute you and try to read them by myself. But you can let me know if I'm right about that by checking my attempt below...: 1. Income Statement: This one seems to be about which products sold well (aka: sold to a lot of people or just for a lot of money) and which ones didn't (and how much the costs were to sell them and to sell even more in the future...)? 2. Balance Sheet: This one seems to be about all the ways that the products made their way to the customer or didn't (but perhaps still can?). 3. Cash Flow Statement: This one seems to be a report card by/for investors, giving them a simplified view of all of the product sales as one simple individual thing, and all the costs of production as one other simple individual thing, and also info about what the company owes to the government and investors (and vice versa). You guys seem like you need a layman on your team in order to make sure your videos in order to make sure the layman audience can understand them (which will probably also result in you finding even more people who actually realize that they ARE interested btw, now that they know at a glance what the topic even is...). Let me know if you want me for that. I've been trying to work on designs for a patreon-adjacent app that does visualizations (like these, but ideally more visual and self-explanatory, looking basically like a comic strip) for creators and patrons automatically, but I need to learn what the various data streams do in order for me to make that, so a collab might be mutually-beneficial anyway.

1) The Balance Sheet is a snapshot at the end of a period, like a photo-finish on the last day of the period. 2) The Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement show the movements over a period (from the first to the last day). That's why we have to be specific each time. If we could simplify it even more, we would. But that's a critical detail to understand. We have specific videos for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow Statement on our channel. Your suggested definitions are incorrect, so you might need to take a look at our dedicated videos. Some videos are particularly dedicated to beginners (mentioned in their title). This video is about how to analyze an Annual Report (10-K), not specifically about financial statements. We want to be mindful of not re-explaining everything from scratch in all videos. I hope this helps!

@@HowTheyMakeMoney_ Okay so they're all TAKEN at the end of the period. It's just that the Balance Sheet happens to ONLY cover the end point of the period, which I suppose was intended to be conveyed by the word snapshot (since a snapshot in photography can't capture multiple moments unless it has a long exposure as many of us have experienced, or if it's non-literally capturing it cause it's a snapshot of a calendar). It's the emphasis of the words "assets" "liability" and "equity" but NOT "point" in the description of the Balance Sheet at 5:32 (as if they're all somehow about points, or at least that you're defining points to be periods) that was confusing. In that case I think when I'm depicting Income Statements and Cash Flow Statements in my app, I'll try labelling them with the ending date on the right side of the page (like you did) and beginning date on the left side of the page (and an arrow connecting them) in order to indicate that it's a time frame. And for the Balance Sheet, it'll be inside of a gps pushpin kinda shape on top of the exact time and date (on a timeline other exact time and dates, that can pop up other Balance Sheets), and without the word "ending". That way users might be able to just see the difference at a glance. I think I might even try to show a little thumbnail for the Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement in an arrow in between each Balance Sheet pin on the timeline to make it even more obvious. And I'll check out the "WTF" videos to see the more clear definitions of these! Thanks!
