Hi, Dale in my Project file, we used to close the tasks form %Complete option by giving 100%, but we do not change the finish date. example : finish date 30 Apr, but we change the %complete to 100% on 30 May without changing the finish date. can i do analyze variance ?

If you are only entering a % Complete value, but are not capturing the Actual Start and Actual Finish dates for the task, then you will NOT be able to do variance analysis. Hope this helps.
