Can you also use aluminum foil for the negative clip? As long as it is conductive, right? And the prepped gallon with solution, how long can you store and use it to anodize?

You can use aluminum for both, just make sure not to use iron or steel, because they will rust immediately and gunk everything up!

How can you get jewelry black? Im trying to get my septum jewelry black but I haven’t found a way to do that. It is a small internal diameter (8mm) 4 gauge. I haven’t been able to find it in black :-/

You can't get black from anodizing titanium, the closest you could come to is probably dark purple at about 18 volts. You could also try the old dip in oil or WD-40 then heat in a torch to red hot then quench. That will get you an almost black finish, but I'm not sure if it would be safe to wear as jewelry or how durable it would be

Look up doing that with niobium instead of titanium to get it to black. It’s tricky not to over do a few of each step and keep it from flaking off over time.
