This was really helpful and to the point as usual (not one of my strengths btw!).Also very well presented in a lighthearted and empathetic way. I really appreciated the various examples throughout. That's why I subscribed. I was once asked a very strange question by a female IT director in an interview which was " how would your wife describe you?" This was totally unexpected and threw me off but I made a lighthearted joke and said that my wife would probably say that she should've listened to her mother! I didn't get the job. What a surprise

That's interesting point in your first question. I work in the IT, and I've never had any problem don't knowing the company during the interview. This goes also other way around. When I'm doing interviews with applicants, I don't care if they know our company or not. The important bit, for me, is to ask about the specific job which I will be doing, specifics of the IT infrastructure which I will be working in and so on. Again, this is also important for me as an interviewer. If applicant doesn't show any interest in specifics of his future job, it's negative point for me. P.S. Sorry for any grammar mistakes. I'm not a native speaker :)

The point Is that the Interviene should be a bilateral check- point between employer and emplyee, but It Is not always so. The employer should understand that the applicant could be a chance for himself and for the Company, also if It happens he Will never admit.... Is not relevant to ask personal questions about marriage or about what should think the own partner if the job requires travels in or outland, isn'it? As well as I don't find importante to write on the CV if one Is engaged in the Church Choir or if one won the billiard Championship of the quarter association. Thanks for the interesting suggestions.

In Germany the worker receives leasing a Company a certificate to give to the next Company. This certificate contents informations about the worker frequetly expressed in cripto-language, exspecially if not positive. Italian Trade-Union do not appreciate this method. Is this certificate used in UK as well? Thank for answering.🇮🇹

I was kinda lost in another thoughts while this video was open and when the question "Why did you leave your last job?" came out which I didn't hear correctly and the guy on the video started talking about being positive rather than being negative and said "there are lots of reasons you wanted to leave", I thought the question was "Why do you want to live" and I seriously thought about an answer until I realized I have misheard.

I can tell you there's drawbacks to not telling why your quitte you job... I have a friend who try to change work.... because I work with him, to clean fridge chambers very physical temperature, and veyr humidity because we used karcher, I was what we call in France a interimaire even if I a high degree educated, he had a CDI) he has two problems in the past, the boss twice must remercy him for ecoonomical reason... The interviever said to him he change to much, was to unstable... So Gideon, that it was when there was no economical crises... Because nobody tells the truth in the interview nobody believe nobody anymore... and you have great worker unenployed all their life what ever they can do... Beleave me I'm 52!!! I have what we call a Maitrise de biologie cellulaire et génétique molléculaire... and Ihave seen so much thing horrible about interview... And what the politics do in France, even after several decade of problems don't make any good and any sense on the subject.... Because, internet (dlocalisation ) we have less job, because women works we have less job, because economical crisis we have less job... It's so important to change the speech.... to resolve the poblems only very little caused by immigration, it's only one factor... and don't tell the truth at the interview actually, it's make the interviewer don't truth anybody in the interview... and always beleave in manipulation.... even you have always tell the truth....
@erlingoskarkristjansson86094 жыл бұрын
What do you think about making jokes in the interview? Like by answer with a cliche and then laughing it off? I guess it would depend on the interviewer, the atmosphere and how things are going. :/

Do you know thaht low educated people lie a lot about they capacity about informatic and disign..... and I study biology... So it won't help... Because there are capacity you benefit the same avantage in interview, I can just talk about one work the only one I have some responsability and I was very good at it... very good results... but if in your line of works there are no job offers, interviewer really don't care...
