what to do if you pet cuts it pad, leg your too far from the vet and you need to control the bleeding. remember the sooner you get seen by the vet the better, most cuts require antibiotics and pain relief and many require suturing

My dog ripped off her bandages the vet applied yesterday, and they’re all closed today. This helped so much! Thank you!

Best video I could find as well. Shows how to put it on so it doesn't unravel at the toe.

glad we can help, hope he feels better soon. Just remember in hot weather you will have to change the dressing every 2-3 days. As pets sweat from their pads and this can cause moist skin and lead to infection between pads. on very hairy or sweaty feet you can apply a little powder between the pads prior to dressing as long as not near wounds.

How tight though? There must be a way to gauge that? Too tight and circulation could be a big problem. Nice video, I find this is an important question that should be addressed. My dogs paw is raw from winter salt. It is spring yet our snow lasted well into spring this year. Now, it is lovely out, but I was walking him without realizing his paw was sore and I made it worse. 😔 I kept him off of it for a week and then just extremely small walks, let's say 400 m. Yet he still would lick his paw for an hour or so every day and the next after these short short walks every few days. Should he be on antibiotics? More time off the paw? It is going into week two/three of zero to a few meters of walking.
