How to apply designer nail art foil transfer / achieve a perfect nail foil transfer application

Hello everyone! I decided to make a tutorial video on these nail foils since some of you reached out to me because you were not achieving a perfect application. I’m confused about some things, gel foil-I thought that the only foil was the design itself! matte coat, are you talking about polishes, clear coats? I did see what you were using with the clear coats but...??....so looking at the video again I understood more except for at 3:57.

Yes there is the (transfer foil) which is the paper you see in the video and then there is the (gel for the foil) which is what you’ll need in order to transfer the design from the (transfer foil) to the nail. 3:57 is for when you want to paint the nail with a gel polish and then you want to do the transfer of the design to the nail

I’ve tried a foil transfer gel (cured for 30s and 60s) and base coat (cured for 60s) but the foil won’t transfer. I’m doing everything as I’ve seen but it’s not working! 😩

Oh no! You should try checking your lamp sometimes if your lamp isn’t working like before this happens, it was happening to me at first then I bought a new lamp and everything was perfect

Do you find that with the matte top coat (that I didn’t even know existed until this year!) you can only put your nail under the lamp for about 2 seconds and that’s all it takes anyway?😮 I was pleasantly surprised ☺️

How do you get it to not peel off on gel polish on natural nails? Mine tend to peel or chip even after multiple base/builder seals .

I use a very thin layer of Swarovski gel cure 60 seconds and then another layer of gel top coat and cured that one the same

I applied the acrylic, filed and buffed the nail and then I applied 1 layer of the gel foil, I cured it and the I applied the designer foil

I have some of these and the issue I have is creasing while trying to apply the foil and it’s ruins the application for me cause it causes it to apply spotty and I don’t like that look, so far I haven’t found a fix to this, I love nail foils but the creasing during application drives me nuts

1 month late but I watched a different video and a girl uses her brush. She’ll put a tiny bit of monomer on her brush and touch each side. Whichever side swears ( removes the design ) that means it’s the right side :D

If you’re using regular polish then it’s different you should use a foil glue but you should wait until your polish is completely dry before you start
