Glad to be of help! Some gel polish tacky layers just aren't tacky enough, and most definitely aren't tacky enough for full coverage foils!! Hope you get better results now! 🥰

I did and they are gorgeous! Honestly it's super embarrassing but I was putting the foils on backwards. All of the tutorials I watched used clear foils so I couldn't tell. I made these GORGEOUS rose quartz nails using foils from poochiez nails. I also have her stiquick gel that works great. I just couldn't nail the technique but thanks to your video my nails are done and I am in love! 😍 Also I love your humor! Can def relate to being unfit, especially after quarantine. 🤣

This was fun and frustrating - but I got yellow/brown plaid nails with little orange and yellow butterfly decals covering the most noticeable mistakes. Also, acetone removes the foil and nail glue to start over on that nail. If cured gel polish is beneath, the acetone does nothing to the base color, so I could just keep on working on getting the foil to adhere without weird creases. I found a tutorial that used a *nail stamper to flatten the foil* over the nail, and I may try that next time to see if that works to resolve my creasing issues?

Foil gel is a total game changer! If you're doing full coverage, make sure to over-cap the free edge, and then cure with the hand upside down (after curing the normal way!) Not sure if I mentioned this in this video; it definitely helps longevity. Good luck!

I think the gliding of the lint wipe seems to work well, as opposed to the stiffer, less gliding silicon tool. I use silicon on clients to get in the sidewalls and around the cuticle, but always finish with the lint wipe! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! 🥰

Sometimes I'll apply my foil with a stamper, especially if I'm doing full coverage. It just seems to stretch and mold the foil over the nail better than I can do with my fingers. Keeps the wrinkles down.

Just on the bare stamper? Or so you apply the gel or whatever you use to the stamper? If that question makes sense! In other words, the foil comes right off onto a bare stamper and then nails? Thanks

Thanks! As it's a foil gel, it's designed to work with gel polish, or on top of your filed/refined builder gel or acrylic. If you want to use foils on regular polish, it's better to use a foil glue, as a gel will likely lift/crinkle.

The clear foils can go on any colour, so I usually swatch them with no colour underneath, then I can hold them over colour swatches for clients to see. They are all gorgeous!

LOVED this video - especially the last few seconds lol. Never done foils before but thanks to you am going to try it using your code above. Just wondering, can I put foil on over a couple of layers of clear dip (for extra strength) or even use the clear one's over coloured dip powder? Not sure if the activator will interfere with the foil gel - trying to figure out what the order should be .. base, dip powder, (repeat), activator, foil gel (cure), foil then finally gel top coat - final cure?

Thanks! I've never done dip nails before, so can't advise on when to use the foil gel, but it can go on the buffed layer of colour I suspect. As long as it's either a tacky gel surface, or a buffed surface it'll be fine!

I've found that top coats do tend to take the smooth appearance off a bit. Try floating your top coat over (not pressing the brush on to the surface).
