Sy pun apply NTNU tahun ni utk salah satu vacancy PhD dlm Psikologi. Potential SV ckp utk dpt position tu mmg sgt competitive. Tp SV ada bg recommendation dan pernah discuss proposal sekali. Tp akan start tahun depan. Rezeki sy skrg di UK. Mungkin nanti smbung post-doc pula dekat Norway insha Allah.

Hi thank you for the video fadzil. Nak tanya mengenai tuition fees. Since sambung phd dekat NTNU dapat salary, salary tu cukup untuk sara hidup sahaja atau mampu cover tuition fees juga. Tq 😄

PhD di Norway dan juga semua negara Scandinavian (Denmark, Sweden, Finland) tak dianggap sebagai student, tapi employee kepada univerisiti... sebab tu dapat 'gaji', bukan 'biasiswa' atau 'elaun'... dapat gaji macam pekerja2 universiti macam lecturer, prof, admin staff, IT semua la... bermakna tak ada kena bayar study fee... gaji yang dapat tu insyaAllah terlebih cukup untuk bujang... untuk family pulak, kalau kat Norway insyaAllah cukup sebab boleh dapat benefit daripada government, macam child benefit, housing benefit, financial support etc... Kitorang berlima alhamdulillah, cukup gaji tu, siap boleh hantar balik Malaysia bulan2 untuk cover commitment di Malaysia... dah tengok video kitorang "cost of living in Norway" ke?

Total ada 37 candidates dan sekarang menunggu interview. Saya ingin bertanya, berapa lama kira-kira saya dapat menunggu email lolos tahap interview atau tidak? Saya ucapkan tahniah dulu sebab terpilih untuk menghadiri interview... saya rasa, SV nak cari candidate secepat mungkin... jadi boleh expect sebulan dua selepas application dateline, mereka akan contact untuk processs interview yang seterusnya... untuk sesi interview pula, saya tak pasti semua sama atau tidak... mungkin bergantung pada SV dan panel interview itu sendiri... untuk kes saya, total ada 3-4 panel interview daya dah lupa... setiap panel nak tanya soalan, sebab tu total jadi 2 jam pun tak cukup interview, nasib baik line terputus je, kalau tak, belum habis lagi soalan daripada panel.... Goodluck Mas... andai terpilih nanti, jangan lupa contact saya di sini ok.. insyaAllah bisa ketemu...

Hi, can you say how long take after the position deadline, for Ph.D. supervisors contact to the references for a recommendation letter? How long take the whole process from the deadline up to you receiving the offer letter?

I don't really remember how long exactly, but I think I was contacted by the SV a few weeks after the application dateline... then the entire interview process until final acceptance took about 2 months

Employment contract tu hanye utk PhD position tu je.. kalau nk sambong stay dekat Norway, kene la carik keje kat sini lepas abes PhD tu... yg menariknye, lepas abes contract 3 tahun kat sini, kite boleh appply permenant residence.. Then, kite boleh apply keje melalui NAV, selagi belom dpt tmpat keje, kite akan dpt duit bantuan.... So kalau berniat nk keje sini lepas PhD tamat, insyaAllah mudah je laluan dia... Keje la sini dulu bro, kumpul duit dlu sblom balik malaysia... 2. Sy rase kes ni boleh kawteam dgn supervisor mase interview... rasenye boleh je kot... asalakan kene abeskan dlu master, pastu mntk sijil master dr uni, x sempat la nk tggu convo, tros fly norway.. In my case, it took about one month before the SV contacted me for the first interview... After that, the second and third interviews are within a month before I get the offer... So I guessed the whole process will take about three months.. Could differ from different SV though

I pray for you that you'll get the position, insyaAllah.... In my case, it took about less than a month before I was invited into the first interview... Then the entire process (the next interviews until final decision was made) took about 2 months until the final decision... Good luck to you!!!! :)

Hello.. I think it'd depend on how you sell yourself during the interview I guess.. Being selected for the interview is the first step in getting the position.. If you're selected, I wish you a very good luck and do your best.. If not, then don't give up and keep on applying for the next position... :)
