Or did they simply process your application without any specific questions related to it, considering that you have already stated your travel motives to the UK? I am planning to apply for a visa for my spouse, who is a Kenyan citizen. We intend to travel to the UK for leisure purposes, but she requires a visa for entry. As I am a U.S. citizen, I do not need a visa for myself. Do I need to mention in the application that I will be traveling with her and will be responsible for all the expenses? Sorry for the late response. TLS did not conduct an interview. They just collected my documents and biometric data. I would personally start asking the family members to send me money to save over a period of time then apply.....It's important to show that you will not be a burden to the state and having some of your own money helps with that... :) However, this can still work if the family members are willing to provide their financial documents to support your application... All the best :)
