I tried applying via the website and it sucks so bad. The website was slow, glitchy, and the upload file button wouldn't even work at all for me. For anyone trying to apply, downloand the KETA app instead. The app is seamless, fast, and not glitchy at all. The best part about the app is that you don't have to worry about uploading pictures in the correct file size. With the app it forces you to take a picture of your passport and yourself so you don't even need to worry about uploading the right size images. Within 30 min I got my visa approved and it lasts for 3 years.

This is not convenient or quick. I've spent hours trying to upload the address of my hotel and it just doesn't work. I've tried other hotel addresses because switching hotels would be my easiest option, but none of them work. I've emailed an agent three times to help me, but they don't answer. It seems the problem is the format of the address, but I have no idea how to correct that. All I want is to stay one night in Seoul on my way to Bali, but unless someone can help me with this, I'll have to cancel the ticket at a significant cost.

You have to resize your photo. The easy way, for me, is to send it to your email. When attach photo to email, it will ask the size of the file before send, then choose medium size. You will get the email attached with low size of photo.

I will be having overnight layover in Seoul so similar situation - I contacted Korean embassy in my country just to be sure and see what they tell me but what I understant is - if you intend to spend the layover outside the transit area (meaning past immigration with reclaimed baggage) then yes, K-ETA is needed. If you will spend the whole layover within the transit area, you shouldn't need the K-ETA. 🤔

It does not matter when you apply for K-eta as it only asks your passport information ☺ I applied it this afternoon for leaving Australia tmrw evening and received the results in about 2 hours. But they actually recommend you to apply it 72 hours prior your flight day.

Because it says there, while filling out the K-ETA e-application that if there is any changes in the place you are going to stay at, you can go back to K-ETA website and edit the place. I’ve got the K-ETA approved within 1 hr.

Incredibly user unfriendly. It asks to enter the five digit zip code. Every address I check, the zip is not available or does not show but a three digit. Can not get past this stage of application. I applied 6 days ago yet under assessment. Anyone knows if under assessment will take how long then can get approval? I can't re-apply either? I missed yesterday flight and I hope can approve it asap by today. Very frustrated as already approved leave for going just a few days.
