We used to live in walking distance to the Capitole in Toulouse from 2001-2004 ( now in VA ). If you ever get a chance, try out -L'entrecote-. last time we visited in 2018 it was closed for renovation. However this is/was one of the best restaurants back in the days. There is so much to discover in that area. See if you can go skiing in Andorra or visit Carcassonne. Also once spring/summer comes you'll enjoy the canal du midi and the mediterranean. Spain and Barcelona are close by and while you are on that route visit the Dalí Theatre-Museum, you'll have a blast. Cheers.

Hi Melanie :) your videos are so helpful and I'm currently in the process of finalizing my motivational letters for my applications! My question is- out of the schools you applied to, how many accepted you and how many rejected you? Obviously moving to France for a master's program is a huge risk (that I'm obviously very excited to take) but I'm really worried I won't be accepted into my programs... what has been your experience with that? Merci beaucoup en avance :*

Hi ! this video was so helpful. One question though, Do you know if having a degree that lasted 5 years in any other country also counts, so that you can go to the M2 ? Thanks
@IdentitySelection
@IdentitySelection 3 жыл бұрын
Yes! normally it would count. Since the "license" (degree before master) in France is 3 years, if you have a degree that lasted anymore than that, then you should be able to go directly into M2. But you should also check with the schools and their specific policy, they usually have that info somewhere on the admissions page :)

hey this is helpful! for some weird reason the language section still says incomplete. I am from the UK so I don't need IELTS. I am not sure what documents they want me to upload. Also the personal statement is only 2500 characters long which is less than what I wrote! Lastly, did you apply for any bursary or scholarship for international students?
@IdentitySelection

Hey ! If I remember correctly, I just left the language section incomplete and assumed they would look at my US diploma and figure it out. And yesss I remember I wrote a whole ass nice essay and had to redo it and cut so many parts to fit the character limit 😩 I did not apply for any scholarship but the school offered me a waiver for the new international tuition so I could pay the same amount as french students. Hi Melanie, I just stumbled across this video as I am currently in the process of applications to French masters programs. How much time did it take to get through the process to get approved through campus france/etudes en france and to get your visa situation all figured out? I ask because I officially sent my full application through etudes en france in the middle of december, and one of the agents said he/she would get in touch to go over my application. I emailed in mid January to follow up because I didn't receive anything. The agent responded that he/she would contact me very soon for a phone interview. I just sent a message a few days ago because I still haven't received anything. I know I submitted my application months before the deadline so I should be ok, it's just stressful always being in the dark. Just wondering if you had a similar experience, I remember the administrative stuff being more stressful than my classes during my study abroad year.
@IdentitySelection
@IdentitySelection 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Brad ! I very much indeed had the same experience of being stressed in the dark for months 😂 I had the phone call with the CF agent sometime in April, even though I had submitted my app months before, so maybe it’ll be the same for you :) And then another 2-3 months of waiting in the dark for the visa. You’re right the administrative process is horrible, my advice is to just let it go and trust that in the end it will all work out, no matter how long it takes and feels like nothing is ever getting done, as long as you did everything you’re supposed to do. Bon courage 🙂
