For some, Winter's snow ❄️ is fun, for others it is not. It is worth mentioning that people enjoy winter sports which are played on snow. And yes, people do slip and can get mild to severe injuries. However, not everyone slips, if one wears proper winter snow shoes, chances of slipping are very less, almost none, except on black ice. So, people who walk carefully in the snow won't slip mostly.

@Ragini Mishra You're not eligible for this benefit as you haven't filed taxes for the year 2021 here in Canada. We're also not eligible as we arrived in August'22 and hadn't filed 2021 taxes. Being a student, work permit holder or PR doesn't impact eligibility.

Great that you've received the benefit. We don't think that your husband can get an additional $500, however, we still recommend you to go to the CRA website and check yourself by filling some details in the eligibility criteria form. Its details are shared in this video itself.

I have a question.. for example a person being a resident in Canada but his spouse is living in India and that person is sending money to her. That can be shown while filing tax but after filing tax return will that be counted as an individual income or family income?

@Aman Boora Thank you for your kind words. The money a person sends to his/her spouse is not separate income. It is definitely from that person's income for which taxes would be already deducted/paid. So, the income of the first person in this case is the overall family income. Rajat, No, your spouse is not eligible separately. This benefit is for house rent. If you both live together in one house, you can claim it once for the family (you, your spouse). @Tania Verma, That $600 might be another type of payment. Canada mein kaafi saare benefits ki payments aati hain. For house rent benefit, CRA is paying $500 only for one time.
