What did you do to detach the bowl from the dremel piece? Did you detach and then seal the bottom where the glue was?

You can use a hairdryer and gently heat the Dremel shank. The hot melt glue used to bond the Dremel bit will release very easily. In hindsight, the bottom area should have been precoated first with the MAX CLR, cured, and then the shank bonded.

My son made a bowl with a very thin wall in one spot. I'm talking paper thin. Would sealing it with epoxy strengthen and thus save this bowl? Or is there any other way to salvage this?

Where can I source a chuck that will fit on a square rotisserie shaft, as mentioned in the video?

It will be much easier to reshape the square shaft into a round shape. Do a web search for 'shaft couplers' or check out this link; www.mcmaster.com/shaft-couplings/

Can Max Clr be microwaved after curing?

Yes, once cured, MAX CLR is similar to cured plastic and can be used in a microwave oven. However, microwaving wood substrates is not recommended as the heat will cause rapid expansion and produces splits and cracks in the wood which will also fracture the MAX CLR coating.

Polyester resin smells extremely toxic. I'm no Chemist, but if something smells that fucked up, the chances are it'll do you damage. If you have ever been around when somebody is doing fiberglass work on a boat or a surfboard, Polyester resin is what's being used. You couldn't use it in your house and still spend the night there. It's gnarly!
