Can this be used under Grasello (or over marmorino) to get a layered pearlescent effect?

Have watched your videos on Galaxy and and Galactic Texture numerous times! Love both of the techniques. Now this one also peaks my interest. Have never done anything like this but figured some mistakes would be covered. I have a half bath that I want to do a statement wall and one of these techniques would be perfect!...its the wall that is seen when you open the door..and do it in a deep dark red. The wall is 47'" x 68", not too big and this is the wall with the toilet, petals sink with mirror that runs from wall to wall and have lights behind to feature wall. I'm I being to ambitious? But boy! I can see it in my mind and it is Perfect! Lol Realize this is rather drawn out but I do love your work and love techniques like this.

Bought a few samples of the venetian plaster to practice with ... i love the grassello but every time get to the burnishing stage i get this peeling ive done several sample boards and i cant figure out where im going wrong
@RonaldLayman Жыл бұрын
I’m guessing, Too much pressure: Applying too much pressure during burnishing can cause the burnished layer to peel up. It's important to use the correct amount of pressure and to work in small sections to avoid damaging the finish.

@@RonaldLayman thank you! Makes sense i do put quite a bit of pressure. I'm going to keep trying until I get it right. I appreciate all of your videos! They've given me the confidence to even attempt this

The plaster is still wet. Just wait a bit longer and burnish lightly to start with.

Hi Ronald Your work is amazing, you're an artist, Bravo. I'd like to know, can I use copper or any paint with Venetian Plaster on a same wall. For example: if I apply industrial Venetian Plaster on wall and later on top of plaster, I apply copper or metallic paint to give exotic wall look. Can I do that ?

Only with acrylic or acrylic modified , not a true lime
