Also, another little thing for most people to know is that it's not always the case that both hands will require the same sizes. I know a lot of people who have hands with different sized middle fingers and thumbs and such. Best thing to do is take a clear piece of tape and put it across the widest part of your nail. Then, for each finger, mark the edges of your nails on the tape with a sharpie. After you've done that you can lay them all out in order and use a measuring tape to truly find your ten sizes. I hope this helps! I love me some press on nails! The sets I get from Etsy look like I paid hundreds when in reality it's a small fraction of that! 💖

Alcohol only last 10 minutes for dehydration, so if it takes you longer than 10 minutes to get the nail on your finger, you’ll need to prep the nail again with an alcohol wipe. You also should NEVER buff across the nail. Only buff going down with the grain of how your nail grows out. You will destroy your nails, especially if you have naturally thin nails or damaged nails. She also didn’t talk about how you need to prep the nail before putting them on, or you’ll end up with lifting. You need to push back your cuticles and remove any dead skin from the nail. You also don’t want to size down, if you can’t find the proper size for your natural nail. Go a little larger and file down the sides of the press on with a fine-grit. If you size down, it is likely to pop off or hurt you when you bump into things. This a great idea, but if you’re gonna tell someone how to properly put them on, you need to start with the basics, please. Not everyone knows exactly what to do or why you need to do it.

Please I need your lights! In my experience, if u go a little smaller yes it hurts when you bump into things, but if you go larger it's more likely to lose a tip. Also, it's more likely to glue your skin's edges, and when you take a bath you will lose your false nails. I am always okay with standard size on press-on nails but never with my big finger especially with almond shape. If I painted them before in the color of the false nail would they stick or it's not advised to do this? Do you have any tips to give me? Finally, how do I remove the instant glue? I can't wait for them to fall day after day on their own! Water is not good for the glue, but warm or cold is their enemy? What about soap, oily creams, acetone, magic remover, etc? Do they help? Ps how do you avoid touching the glue and sticking your finger on the nail? 😂

I did the same, I ordered Kiss off of Amazon and I love them so far! day 3 but cleaned the house, vacuumed and wiped down my car, showered, did laundry, some dishes, still on! I was waiting for one to pop off but nope, I follwed all the little tricks and even though the ones I put on are the no glue ones, I still used nail glue on them for xtra hold. these are the way to go, no more money wasted in the unappreciative salon.

Super cute . Another tip i have is to always do your dominant hand first . Take your time and enjoy the process . The nails come with numbers. It's easier to organize them. Press on nails have changed my life. If one pops off just carry glue in your purse 👛👜. 💅

I always file bigger press on nails carefully to be the perfect fit rather than choose a smaller sized one, usually most press on nails can handle modifying size. To test can you change the size with a file in a way that looks unnoticable, test it with a press on nail of the size you would never need. It takes practise tho, to learn a good technique. I love press on nails so much 💃

i find using oil can start to dissolve the glue a bit near my cuticle, so i only like to apply it a few days before i'm gonna remove them and use it to help take them off. i notice bc i use partially transparent nails sometimes so i can see where the glue may have lifted. i use a hand and cuticle cream to hydrate which works fine

My acetone remover has conditioners in it, so I scrub my nails clean with dishwash liquid and dry with a paper towel, this works extremely well. Also yes, I press lightly first before pressing harder 😂 I know exactly what you mean!

I've been using too much glue, when spreading glue on my nail, I've put glue too close to the edge which results in spillage, and I need to wait a few seconds before adhering the tip to my nail. I’m an older guitarist in a band that plays a lot, and recently converted from having a beautician pour a mix on the problem fingernails to gluing fake fingernails on myself - 2 fingernails on left hand that would often split and get a string stuck in the crack, and one fingernail on the right hand - the strumming hand - that tends to get shredded. Yesss! I've been waiting for this video! I usually use those stickers because the glue leaves a hard residue on my nails that I can't get rid of for a month after taking off the nails! How do you remove them? Plus - do you find it ok to stay with them for 4 weeks and then go straight to another 4 weeks and so on? MY BIG TIP - If you have to size down or you test the fit and it feels tight or snug, bend the fake nail so it’s flatter and less of a curve that hugs your nail too tight.

You buy nail glue remover ( i recommend the one from kiss) and squeeze the liquid under the press on nails. With that u can remove them without any pain and without damaging your real nails. And no sadly u cannot reuse press on nails if u already wore them for a few weeks even if u just used nail glue stickers it's not gonna lay down correctly. But nail glue stickers are a scam anyways they're not recommended. The glue is too weak and bacteria can grow faster since not everything under the press on nail is covered like with a liquid glue. Although nail glue stickers can be recommended for children since the press ons can pop off very easily after a few days. Hope this helps :)

I exclusively use KISS press ons. They look professional and elegant, and they’re pretty sturdy, and stick well onto the nail. I wouldn’t recommend imPRESS nails. I have long nail beds and none of the press ons properly fit my nail. And the nails feel cheap, and don’t stick as well.

It's best to use the brush on clude used for dip polish nails. I lightly file my nails to remove the shiny part of the nails. I have my alcohol in a spray bottle I spray my nails a lightly taking the shine of my nails, then you have to worry about transferring oil from one nail to the other

I like to use the solid nail glue. You just dip some up on your nail go to 45° angle and press it down to the edge. You have to make sure not to get too much but practice makes perfect.

Press on nails that long will never last me a long time. I’m lucky if they stand a night out & I do all these steps. The only ones that have lasted a few days are the impress in short styles & with both the glue and sticky gel. Even then tho, they started to lift and some popped off. Most stayed on about one week but extra long lengths like in this vid, idk how you make them last girl.
