I was a Messenger for many years for Brinks. The crew, the job itself was great. The company and Corporate are absolutely horrible. It's a double edged sword. If you're a grunt and don't mind long hard hours (you will be working 20+ straight some days don't let those fuckers fool you about their time limits for saftey in orientation) its not a bad job but it's not a career. Some perks are you get hooked up with free shit (food, movie tickets, coffee etc) women love Messengers you will get some phone numbers and the day goes by fast as shit. 12 hours can blink by with that job. Cons are Corporate x5. They are why people leave that job.

I applied for cash processor not to long ago. Is that a way to go to build experience for a law enforcement career? Also is the interview long?

@@StreamAlong. The title Brinks on a resume looks nice no question. Certain similarities as far as being in the truck on the road and being a Messenger I'm sure can make some transitions into LE easier but I don't think it will be a factor in the hiring process for them. The hiring process can take a month and heads up Vault work can be brutal. I had to do a little in my time there (manifests, paperwork, coin counts etc). Some of the Vault crew at our main branch in philly were working 15 hours a day. That doesn't speak for every branch but just be ready for it if you decide to go through with it.

@@StreamAlong. cash processor is a vault job. That will look good on your resume for more warehouse jobs, and maybe accounting.. for law enforcement, you go to college, go to police academy and get placed in a precinct.

You don't wanna work there. I worked for G4s. They pay is poor when it comes to putting your life at risk to do cash pickups from various companies, especially at night. It is repetative. I worked in Toronto. If you are being robbed it's just not worth pulling your firearm for a poor wage, all in the name of trying to protect insured money.

What was there pay? I heard Brinks pays well

@@TheRealTakeDown brinks never paid well lol. They were still paying $13 in my area when Loomis was paying $20-$25 (based on experience) they tried lying about the wage difference for a long time to until everyone knew they were bullshitting and they had no choice but to raise the pay.

Is there full-time and part-time? Is it one shift or rotating? What are the wages in Ontario, starting and full wage?

What about working as a money room teller? Do you need to have your PAL for that position? Im assuming you're working inside a secure building/ room with guards everywhere. That and you don't need to worry about having a clean drivers abstract.
@dante5088 Жыл бұрын
I work there now, the Israeli branch specifically, only thing that you need is a clean record, basically clean criminal record, no history with any drugs or even a connection to registered felons. Could be different in other countries.

@MOGMirros8 ай бұрын
Oh yes, Transport Guard is another term for Messenger. Messengers today drive and jump ( jumping in and out of the truck at stops)
