Wow thank you a lot my brother. I’m a 19 year old playing electric guitar at church (I’m the only guitarist) So I try to mix rhythm and lead. But your vid is super helpful, something I wish I knew earlier. Ps: Perhaps if you do a vid specially on worship chords that may allow to hit some lead lines while keeping the rhythm well. Thanks a lot Cheers ❤

thats awesome man! I totally get it! If you're the only electric guitarist you definitely have to change your playing to have a mix of lead and rhythm. I'll try to do a follow up video.

I got the walrus audio fathom reverb and it works great for me. I don’t agree with the buy a big sky statement. As long as it’s a reverb pedal meant for ambience I think any could be made to work. Just me tho.

There are TONS of other great reverbs for worship. GFI Skylar, Merris Mercury X, Boss RV-6, Neunaber Immerse, Eventide Black Hole. Don't limit yourself to the Big Sky.

Very true! But having tried most of these (and friends who have them), I still think bigsky is king.

Almost a pedal rundown. Skipped a lot of details!

I liked the video, but think it might be misleading for beginners. I feel like it’s probably more relevant towards intermediate players who have more experience and are on the cusp of making a worship team roster. True beginners don’t NEED two 20 watt tube amps for stereo or a compression pedal or big sky. Boss RV-5 is fine and cheap and a good barrier to the reverb “journey”. Volume pedal can be replaced with using the guitar’s volume knob as well. I liked the point about getting a cheap guitar and getting it set up and liked your last point the best… PRACTICE! Anyway thanks for posting and God Bless! 😊

@@patmepin15 great points! I agree with all this. This is just the advice I give to people when they ask me what they need to do to join our worship team. My philosophy is that worship music is easy to play and that with the right gear and determination it shouldn’t take very long for a complete beginner to start helping out in a worship team. The gear conversation is something I wish someone gave me when I was starting out. I got stuck using subpar gear for a long time because I was told I shouldn’t need other pedals. I agree my advice is for people really serious in their journey. But you’re right, it really depends on the individual and where they’re coming from. Thanks for the feedback!!

@@WorshipRecap I totally agree! I will say once you hear a high quality reverb like a big sky you'll never go back 😀
