This is the best samus tutorial I've ever seen. Super useful for new samus mains. Defensive vs offensive neutral is a great way of looking at it.

I mean, fighting games have this neutral game triangle of preemptive, proactive, and reactive neutral games. He kinda glossed over preemptive, because it is either as simple as throwing out a nair or just one of the techniques he already mentioned done with slightly different drift and intent.

There is so much more to cover. -Missle uses -Recovery options -Grabbing uses and what to do once you get a grab -Match up info against top tiers (fox, falco, sheik, marth, peach, capt. falcon, jigglypuff, etc.) -Advanced techniques -etc. Bring HugS back!!!

if you watch a top samus player like plup or hugs you realize how fucking fast samus can be. The only thing it really lacks imo is a good short hop to attack players on the ground in front of you but it makes up for it by having excellent moves to dominate characters on different levels. I'm gonna have to try working on my wavedashing in to f tilt as a good ground approach.

use dair to beat his CC, otherwise don't use may short hop aerials. if you shield his dsmash/fsmash/or dtilt, you can wavedash forward out of shield and get a free shine > upsmash. however if you really want help send me a video of the match and i can tell you exactly what to do

Shield drop > n-air is a good option you can use out of shield dropping. You can also use shield drop > upair, but it can be punished if you don't get the last hitbox in. Shield drop fair is half-decent, but if you miss, then you know what's next.
