How to APRS VIA ISS

This is super helpful, really appreciate it. ISS should be switching back to packet operation in the next few days and I feel much better about my chances this time after watching this. Bought my TH-D72 last Fall and have so far been foiled in getting a packet through. Great porch color, BTW!

What’s the difference for path RS0ISS vs just ARISS? I see a lot of other setups just put ARISS for path.

Hi David I can’t find how to manually set my location , turn off gps and still run a beacon. I have set my location under aprs on the 72 but can turn off gps - only switch between internal and external gps

Just press green “F” key once then the number “1” key which is to switch GPS on and Off. Then it should default to manual lat long you setup in menu 360

Very cool. Thanks for that ! Quick question.. So I know Canada and US use 144.39 for aprs.. Does this mean some people have I-gates set to the ISS aprs frequency (145.825) so the packets can be uploaded to aprs.fi ?
