Another awesome way to ask someone out that I've seen, is have your teacher help you, and when you do problems on the white board with a projector, have one of the problems be "will you go to the dance with me? - _______" and so have your teacher call on that person and when your crush reads the question to answer it they will be super taken by surprise! It's my freshman year and my homecoming is coming up in about a month. When I was in JH we didn't really have to ask people we just all went and danced together so this is a bit strange for me. I have this crush on this guy and my friends really want me to ask him but I'm scared. awhhh ofc you can try any of the ways in the video, but in particular if you guys have like any inside jokes or particular ways you communicate (since it's over the internet) maybe you can get creative with that? like sending a video or something? but ofc as always with internet friends, be cautious, stay safe, and make sure you know exactly who you're talking to as I'm sure you have already. just bc idk people can be weird irl vs online.

+Casvon honestly I would say the tips for asking someone to a formal wouldn't change a ton in terms of high school vs 8th grade. just not to stress and just have fun with it! and to remember to not take things too seriously is important haha

ah don't worry! you can always just ask a friend or someone you wanna stick with! but if not, still it's totally chill, normally there are very few slow dance songs if any and there are usually lots of people not slow dancing during them

Don't worry about it. Before I started dating, which was about fourteen/fifteen I would always go with a couple of friends and we'd just laugh around by the sides or do a funny kinda slow dance with each other. Or I would slow dance with a guy friend. You can just find a guy friend to slow dance with! It's fun!
