This engine hoist worked great for my application. And the fold feature is great! Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for watching.

I have 2 commercial zero turn mowers and need a shop crane to lift them to replace blades, lubricate the spindles and perform general maintenance. The negative reviews on HF site indicate alignment issues with the pre-drilled support brace holes, so my initial impression was that the build quality was inferior. Your review addresses this complaint very directly, so I am now confident the build quality is satisfactory. Watching your review was super helpful as I now know the logical steps toward assembly, plus how to get around the support strap alignment. Great video so now I'll go into this purchase with high confidence. Thanks for doing this video, Scott!

I use this for my 61 inch Scag as well! I can assure you, I was assembling it wrong. I wanted to show that! This has been used to swap several heavy engines so far, and I have had ZERO issues with it. And the fold up capability makes it great for storage! Thanks for watching! Glad it helped!

Got the same crane except mine came with black hardware and the mounting location for the handle was different. Also didn't have any of the casters pre-assembled so I guess they changed it up for 2021. Other than that, everything else was the same. Good thing I watched this or I would've started cursing and threw the shit away once those support braces didn't line up 😂

DUCT TAPE TO THE RESCUE.....place nut in box wrench with tape on top. Allows hold, position, torque with ease. HAIL, O DUCT TAPE!!! Bought the 2T fr $180 + tax 9/22.....just less than half what the new RED 2T is priced at. Mew RED crane has the boom top tension strap box welded enclosed. Any consideration to replacing bolts on upper arm/head with pins....as on the folding base.....to facilitate easy further dis-assemble into multiple separate sections in order to store standing up between wall studs of garage. As you mentioned, not an every day use tool. "Missing hole" issue on upright straps designed for pre-tensioning of the straps. Please, God, save us from the cresent wrench crowd.... :) :) :)

anyone have the base open width? i know its tapered but say how wide the base is when the boom is extended in each position would be a great stat to have...
@linksgarage19852 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately my brother is borrowing it so I can’t measure it. It’s pretty wide when open. I’d guess 4 feet or so.

You can’t expect Chinesium parts to line up and fit properly.
@linksgarage1985 Жыл бұрын
They did
@LTVoyager Жыл бұрын
@@linksgarage1985 No, they didn’t as your video clearly shows at 11:00. To make them line up, you had to loosen the bolts on the bottom of the upright column so that it no longer fits square against the cross bar it is bolted to. That means that when you tighten the bottom bolts you are now placing a high amount of stress on the welds at the bottom of that column where the bolt tabs are welded to it. That is not good fitment, but is typical of Chinese crap.
@linksgarage1985 Жыл бұрын
@@LTVoyager the instructions clearly stated to do it this way. And I didn’t. If I had in fact been following them, they would have fit together the first time. This isn’t the best lift in the world. Nor does it or I claim it to be. But it handles LS swaps like a champ. Thanks for watching.
