Thank you so much. I understand better now! I am new and the instructions with my Swimline skip so many steps, like I must already know. I felt really lost, and now I feel better from your video. The instructions for mine left out a few steps AND they did not say to put o rings on. So I put the pump combo all together and had all these little rubber rings left over on the table. Glad to hear you say “make sure to put the o ring on”, since the Swimline pump and filter people did not tell me :) Great video.

@papawsplace3 жыл бұрын
Do You have the Sandpro75D? if so DO you have water returning to your pool at Port A? If not make sure the valve on top is in filtration mode/setting. If you do have water returning to the pool from Port A then it's water going through the basket, It' just doesn't look like it does. Also make sure the basket is installed correctly, it has a notch that should be pointing to the port B side of the pump.

Thanks for the question / comment. I got it from Amazon. I believe it was 399.00 for the Sandpro 75D and 22.97 per 50lb bag of sand. 50lb bag was same price as a 25lb bag so I just got two 50lb bags. Saved the extra 25lbs for later.

You don't have to drain the pump but you have to close off ports A & B before removing the Clear Top. If your pool does not have valves to close then you should have plugs to plug the ports off with. The reason I said I'm glad I didn't get the 50d is because it would not have run the POLASIS65 Vacuum I have. It runs off the return water. I got the off Amazon, There is a link in the description below the video. Let me know what you go with and how it works. Thanks Ivan

Great video! I just bought this pool and almost everyone recommended upgrading to a sand filter. Your video was very informative and encouraging. I was worried this process would be to hard. Did you have to upgrade the hoses like I see many of the other videos? How this pump working out for ya?

Yes Sir it's big enough. I would not go any smaller if you plan on having a skimmer and/or pool vacuum that runs off the pumps/ circulating water.

@papawsplace3 жыл бұрын
You have to plug the holes on the B ports with the two plugs that came with the pool. That's why I plumb mine with valves. I have a video on me doing that also. Thanks

Hey Eddie, Great video, how did the pump and skimmer do for you last season? I need to convince my wife for us to get one of these filters for our Coleman pool. The small pump that came with the pool just didn't cut it last year.
@papawsplace2 жыл бұрын
Hello Frank, That sand pro pump is nice and the skimmer worked very well also. But if I was going to buy another skimmer I wound get the Tru the Wall style. Not that this one did a bad job but with the thru the wall kind it wouldn't be anything inside the pool for kids to pull on. But you have to cut your liner to install the thru the wall style.

first of all, you have become my favorite! I love these videos. Is there a cheaper option filter that isn't crappy? What's the benefit of the sand filter part?
@papawsplace3 жыл бұрын
Well first of all ,Thank you much!! 👍 If your not wanting to add a vacuum or a skimmer. the little pumps that come with the pool is ok to start out with, you just have to clean the filter a lot. Three times a day if you start out with dirty water like I did. The sand filter (this size anyways) will clean the pool a lot longer before you have to backwash( Clean) the sand. The little pump that came with my pool will not pump enough water to work a hand vacuum must less the Polaris65. If my wife had not already purchased the Polaris65 and the Skimmer before I got the pool set up we would have used the little pump that came with the pool for awhile before purchasing the Sandpro 75D. Also with a sand filter the sand will last all season if not two seasons depending on how clean you keep your pool.

On your sand filter set up, you don't show how to attach the vacuum from inside the pool intake side. Aso , on the 1st video setting up the Coleman pool, you hardly show leveling on the ground and on the rails to make sure everything is level! You did a beautiful job setting up your pool and building the pool deck...looks awesome!

Can you tell me where you bought the sand or provide the link/ brand? I’m reading lots of info about sand blowing into the pool and don’t want that lol😳
@papawsplace3 жыл бұрын
We got AquaQuarts 20-Grade Silica sand from Amazon. But the brand of sand is not the problem as long as it's 20 Grade Pool sand. I would bet everyone that has sand blowing back into their pool did not read the direction. After filling with sand or anytime you backwash you must Rinse for at least 1 minute. When you run the pump in rinse mode it settles the sand back down in the tank. The other problem could be they over filled the tank. Only put in the required weight/Lbs of sand called for. If you put more sand than called for it will blow sand back into pool. Hope this helps.
