How to Assemble the RealSimGear Cirrus Cockpit

I just got a new piece of gear for my Cirrus SR22T home sim, the RealSimGear Cirrus Cockpit. And its a game changer for me. But now I've got to assemble it. How easy is it to assemble? So easy even I could do it. On this video I walk you through step by step.

Hi Steve, after talking with the CSIPs at the Beverly Flight Center I am ordering the BATD next week. Your videos are helpful to learn the right way and get exposure to real time ATC. I appreciate that there is not a distracting overlay of music while in flight and during communications. Following along with transcripts is helpful as well. Which version of Foreflight do you use?

There are 3 types of foreflight subscription plans. Basic, pro and performance. Do you prefer one?

Hi Steve very informative and easy to follow. This $12K unit is an add on to an existing flight simulator. Since I don't have one and am beginning the SR20 Cirrus G6 PPL training I am considering going all in. The complete set up is $30K. As a hefty investment this is, is it worth spending the money or just putting it into lessons.

The Cirrus Cockpit I'm using here is a standalone setup but does not include the Pc ($2.5K to $3K), Monitor ($1K) and USB controllers ($300). If you are really serious about flying a Cirrus this Cirrus Cockpit is a great tool. Having taking flight lessons myself I can tell you that using the simulator to practice what you've learned will make you a much better Cirrus pilot. I don't think you need to spend $30K to do that.

He Steve thanks for posting this! I just bought a Cirrus SR22T and I'm up in KWHP. I am considering the RealSimGear as well. Just trying to figure out which one is the best. Also what tug do you use or recommend? I have a bit of a slope to push into the hangar

Glad I could help! The most important thing is to make sure the sim you buy can do everything you want it to do. I think both sim options will provide a very realistic take on the hardware. The differences are in how the flight model/avionics work in my experience. Both companies offer very personal service so get on the phone with each company and ask them all the questions you need to ask to make sure you can do what you want. Cheers-Ren
