Awesome video. It's what I've been looking for. The way you explain the thought process and the visual explanations really help those of us that are starting FM. It's helped me understand some tactics and roles alot more. Keep it up man this is really good.

This is quite a fascinating perspective and completely the opposite of my approach. I'm more stubborn like Pep were it's my philosophy or bust. I appraise my squad based on my tactical philosophy (not tactics) and playing style. Its a bit deeper but I have a way of weeding the players out and deciding what players to bring in. It involves using core attributes and minimum value. This way I have players who share similar mentality. I could show you if you want. Top stuff though. I love videos that have basis in real world analysis. This is just coaching like Ancelotti.
@mustermannfm Жыл бұрын
Apologies for late reply, apparently the comment got held for review (no idea why). Having your own vision is important, but you aren't always going to have the resources to implement it straight away. That's why I specifically talk here about the starting squad, and why being tactic agnostic is valuable so that you can understand what your team is capable of in the short term. Player development and transfer plans will shape my future plans (although not in this series, as these are all single-season challenges).

@@mustermannfm it is a tricky balance, I admit. For one, gamers would more than likely or eventually, forget the club direction they'd set out on. Two, it takes a consistent....aaargh, I can't articulate my thoughts properly over text, plus there are factors involved especially training but it takes a season or two to get players buying into your plans. I'm not talking about overall tactical familiarity although it's one half of it....arrrgh, I am making a video on similar topic. It will be nice if you had a look at the perspective behind it. PART-1 is already live. Forgive me if this comes out like a criticism or ill-mannered, believe me, it's not my intention. Having conversations about FM excites me.

Bo egregious war crimes as of yet, altough your pronounciation of Youri Regeer and Jorrel Hato, both names you mentioned, sounded rather like a cat struggling to spit out a furrbal 😂, looking forward to the next one. btw, the skin is looking really really good
@mustermannfm Жыл бұрын
I'll take that. I felt like a cat struggling to spit out a fur-ball! 🤣 I became acutely aware that if the only time I'd heard their name was in commentary after they scored a goal, there's a few problems. 1) I don't know if the commentator got their name right 2) Commentator's tend to get excited when goals are scored, and put stress in weird places.

Loved it again mate, enjoy the difference in the different series' you have done! Look forward to more, also Kudos for explaining your skin to people who maybe don't know what's going on! As someone who plays using your skin I know it can be really daunting at first but so much more fun without numbers😁
@mustermannfm Жыл бұрын
Thank you, dude! And yeah, the no numbers approach can be scary, but genuinely I think downloading sebastian_starttrbts non-numeric attribute skin a few years ago was the best thing I've ever done. Completely transformed the way I play. I've checked back after I've finished saves and there's players who have been amazing for me, but I probably wouldn't have brought if I'd known their exact attributes. I do plan on doing a proper detailed look at the skin for FM24, too. Show off all the sneaky, hidden things!
@seandevenney1530 Жыл бұрын
@@mustermannfm I agree totally with the unexpected performance in relation to what their numbers actually are, I find I'm way more likely to give players a chance whereas previously if their numbers weren't perfect I would over look them! Awesome, would love that been playing it for a while and there will still be things I don't know about lol
@mustermannfm Жыл бұрын
@@seandevenney1530 it's crazy how we become so conditioned on looking for certain minimum numbers!! In my head for a EPL team it was always 15+ for key attributes, 13+ for the rest. Anyone that didn't have that was rubbish 🤣. Now all I care about is whether they can tie their shoelaces!

I'm curious to know why "Teamwork" att' is only in the leadership part of your skin. Don't you think teamwork has more weight into the possession part?
@mustermannfm Жыл бұрын
Attributes are grouped by the training focus which trains them. There are two exceptions: the Tackling subset, and the Leadership subset. These are attributes that can't be trained using Additional Focus, and the groups have been created based on those which have a relationship. Teamwork, as per the game tooltips, relates to a player's cooperative ability - not just their tendency to pass to one another, but their willingness to follow instructions.
@CubaSmileSauce Жыл бұрын

Amazing content man! Just a question, your skin has a different view and the attributes are not grouped into 4 like you have here. How can I change it to mimic the player view on this video?
@mustermannfm Жыл бұрын
It's the MPGD version, as available in the dark mode download at the link in the description. The publicly available version is slightly different, as I make tweaks to my personal version for the sake of presentation on the video. For example, the pizza charts/statistics have been hidden for the purpose of this video (as it's before any games have been played).
@iondelic5967 Жыл бұрын
Is it possible to change the MPGD version to numerical?@@mustermannfm
@mustermannfm Жыл бұрын
It would be something you'd have to do yourself. The starting point would be to change every instance of attribute_circle to attribute_label using a find all & replace function on the skin folder. There may be a significant number of individual files to go into and adjust sizes and alignment, but I annotate the files so it should be relatively easy to locate the relevant sections. That said, it's unlikely to be quick.
