I know this was 3 years ago but this truly helped me. I've had hangnails my whole life in every side of every toe. My dad jacked my nails up and now I finialy got my husband to help me with my toes. I am 300 pounds so I can't get to my feet. He hates feet. Hates feet but I guess he loves me lol. Thank you for what you do.

The gel patch didn't hold up as well as an acrylic patch on the toes. The video where I tech my husband to do my toes shows even the acrylic patch coming off.

OMG!! That toenail color is beautiful and could not get over the decorative touch put on at the end! Fantastic job on the mend you did on the inner corner of the big toe....impossible to see. Could the top coat you put on (in the black bottle) be used as a top coat using regular nail lacquer/polish?

Regular polish will wrinkle if you use gel polish over it when it is still wet. But, if the polish is completely dry you can use it :)

You just have to use a polish that is sticky. You could wait until it is almost dry and try it. You can not press too hard or you might smudge the polish.

You can use foil glue on top of regular nail polish. I am not sure if foil glue would work directly on the natural nail.

Rachel Lynch - it does :) My mom wants foils every time and I don't do gel pedicures. I just polish her toes then use foil glue.

Cracking of the toenail can be a nutritional deficiency of the B vitamins..............and I found an article that said it can be a problem, especially with nail technicians, who are exposed to all the chemicals. Interesting, huh?

Why not just apply a silk wrap? Even a brush on gel glue with spray hardener would work on a toe nail tear.

The gel polish went bad! If your brush is messed up and the bottom is hard that means it went bad somewhere along the line of making it!!

Dave Vo It's actually because the old packaging of Gelish has the small window on the front which allows light into the bottle and slightly cures it. Same reason the brush goes wonky. They've since resolved the issue and repackaged it without the window on front.

That's personal preference. I prefer shiny to matte most of the time.
