If you are using the port for the ssd. How do you connect a microphone also?
@GreenBoxMedia Жыл бұрын
I'm working on that video right now. There are solutions..easiest is to use Bluetooth microphones.

How to use both ssd and magsafe battery or other external battery?

How can I connect an SSD and a microphone at once? Thanks for your content.

You can try using Thunderbolt Hubs, however, no 10GbE hubs exist which are specifically made for the iPhone.

@@GreenBoxMedia Is a normal USB splitter not a solution? Let's say they split into USB-C (SSD) and 3,5mm (Microphone).
@GreenBoxMedia Жыл бұрын
No, because you need to keep the USB3.1 speeds. I am currently working on a video of a very inexpensive 3.1 passthrough HUB that does exactly that.
@nextii7 Жыл бұрын
@@GreenBoxMedia I just saw your video regarding this topic... Is there a HUB that does that? I could not find one yet... and I did not find a good bluetooth mic. What a dilemma ...

I am currently testing this one for a video. So far all working fine: amzn.to/48wRVdD

nice. but if i want to attach filters to my phone how do i do that? smallrig has a MagEase filter adaptor but i think it won't work with how this cage attaches to the phone right?
@GreenBoxMedia Жыл бұрын
There is an upcoming Mobile Video Cage for iPhone 15 Pro Max 4391 from smallrig that is copadible with the filers. However, the SDD holder would be a little bit tricky to get on that cage. If you have time. I will be doing a video on the setup with that cage once it comes out.
@professionaI_yapper Жыл бұрын
The only bad thing about that cage is that if you put a case on the 14pm and I can assume 15pm. It will not fit. Maybe a thin case? The magnet also rattles. Non issue most of the time but having one bolted down makes no noise on the 2791B. 2791B is also a better fit for the pm. They also made a new one with magsafe but that one doesn't have threads for a rear battery/ssd holder. Feels too stripped down.
@GreenBoxMedia Жыл бұрын
I have not tested it with a case yet. I have read online that the clearance with the 14 pro max was very minimal, since the 15 pro max is smaller, I can imagine it working noticeably better. Furthermore, I have measured an additional ~5mm of clearance with the 15 pro max with a fully opened clamp. I assume that should be enough for most cases. Regarding the rattly magnets, I cannot follow you there. The only place where magnets are used is on the back to easily slide in to the powerbank holder. However, the powerbank holder is secured down with a spring-loaded pin. When waving and shaking the cage around, I cannot make out any rattle at all. The only rattle I am aware of is the rattle you get when the handle thumb screws are not tightened enough. I'm hoping for SmallRig to release a Phone Cage like they did for the 13 and 14 that fits the phone's dimension exactly.

@@GreenBoxMedia I saw that they are making the form fitting cage in collaboration with Brandon Li. Works with the quick release handles. Too early for me to judge since it's not out yet but I wished they just go nato rail so the handles can transfer to other cages. I know what you mean by if the handle thumb screws are not tightened enough. I have the handle with the trigger and it doesn't have an allen key in the bottom. oh, I meant the magnetic powerbank holder. The spring-loaded pin isn't tighten enough on mine. Makes metal on metal sound if I accidentally knock it haha

Are you able to mount the phone when it has a case?
@GreenBoxMedia Жыл бұрын
It surely depends on the case and its thickness, a thinner case should be fine with the pro max. For the Pro i'm pretty sure almost all traditional cases will fit.

I have not tested the Rode Wireless go yet however I am working on a video covering the basic principle of having an SSD + accessories mounted. So far, this will be the product I use to demonstrate the solution (not tested yet) amzn.to/3LwqRBm

iP 16 pro is really amazing. You don’t need to bring big and heavy cameras like Nikon, Panasonic, Sony etc. Just need this small phone with its gears, you will get high quality videos and photos.
@GreenBoxMedia Жыл бұрын
The phone still has many limitations compared to a properly rigged out camera, but it definitely is top of class.
