I use the COPYMAXY as a work bag and have had no issues. It's a comfortable bag, has lots of room, and doesn't lose its shape. That being said, I also take care of all my bags and don't carry water bottles, pens, keys, or anything that could damage the interior.

Debi, you mentioned the serial number always has the style number, but that's not true for bags made in 70s-80. Can you do a video on vintage coach bag authentication? I've seen a lot of people getting back into these. I wish Coach would go back to how they made their bags in the beginning because the quality rivals a lot of luxury and overpriced brands.

Yeah she's not clear on what shes saying or she doesn't know. She also said that coach has never used those metal ends on straps or left them exposed and that's also incorrect. Bonnie cashin early bags did have that. I actually have a coach Bonnie cashin from the sixties that was my mothers and I have the receipt and it has the metal on that 60s bag. We also have photos with my mom wearing the bag and the metal rings around the shoulder strap ends. Sigh Everyone can't know everything😢

I have a Coach basic bag made in NYC with glue in label. I restored the bag and it looks fantastic all but the metal ring that holds the wristlet strap by the zipper. The metal is discolored and doesn’t look like the rest of the hardware. Is this normal?

Some of the 70s bags had a brass-plated zipper pull ring. You are likely seeing the nickel under the plating. It's totally normal.

What are some of the differences in bags made specifically for Coach Outlet stores and bags that are sold at Coach stores and/or department stores like Nordstrom? Will Coach ever bring manufacturing back to the US? I'm fortunate to have several Made In The USA bags that I'm resurrecting now - the best is a red circle (early camera?) that I bought right before manufacturing went off-shore. It's a natural leather with a strap long enough to be a crossbody - before there were such things😂

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one LYXBAG Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

Just purchased a Coach Shay bag fr a pawn shop. I have a couple of questions. The hang tag and crossbody strap was missing from it. Can I purchase these items? I didn't see either on the coach site. Secondly if it didn't have a hang tag does that mean it's necessarily fake or the hangtag just fell off? I only gave $39.99 for it and looks to be real (stitching, leather smell, authentic number on creed, etc)

The hangtags are removable and often are, so that's not necessarily an indicator of it being counterfeit. You can ask in any flagship store with a craftsman bar about a hangtag. They can even personalize them!

Yes, I even removed grease stain form vintage Coach. Do restoration, wash your Coach in detergent, reshape, dry and condition. There're many tutorials on KZbin, learn how to do it and you will end up with like new vintage Coach bag. You'll be proud of yourself. Good luck!

In addition to Debi’s tips, I also look closely at the bag’s stitching. Coach has great craftsmanship on their bags which I love ❤… Fake bags have very poor and often irregular stitching with loose threads. Yuck…
