Thank you, this helped a lot as I am a 53-yr old amateur adult being bullied by teenagers & their young trainer, to the extent that it is creating dangerous and toxic riding conditions involving their dogs & horses to intimidate. Your class act, positive advice helps me to stay in my bubble, rise and ride above :)

I really just think that if you should avoid barn drama and owning your horse on your own property isn't an option just don't talk to anyone at the boarding stable. I'm not really connected with anyone and when I'm at the barn I pretty much only pay attention to my horse and what we're doing. My friend does sometimes come over and ask if I wanna go for a ride, but she's the only one besides my horse who actively notices my presence..😅 Also there's this horse called Falcon at the barn and he's got a reputation of being afraid of everything. I've seen the people he's with, and I can see why he is afraid of everything. In reality he wouldn't need very much training to be more bold with stuff.

Carmella-such class--and applicable to not just the barn, but in every situation in life! Very nice, girl!!!!

I work full time and ride in the evenings and fortunately no one is at the barn at night. Makes it very easy to avoid any drama.

Having autism, social phobia and selective mutism are other good tips. (Partially joking) I avoid all people, including my family and I don't talk to anyone other than myself and my pets. I'm getting a horse in a year or two and hopefully that will help me a bit. I also NEVER take advice from anyone, I always do plenty of research before doing anything. I like doing everything the correct and ethical way. My dad will also be coming with me (even though I turn 18 in a month), I can't do anything without my service dog or my dad with me and he minds his business too so hopefully we will be alright. I really hate drama and dramatic people.

Things I've learned about being a green rider in Canada, as a dude - do your thing and ask lots of questions, and be willing to fall and eat road apples, and be willing to reduce said intake of fruit
