On the conduit staying on the roof. I keep hearing from the installers that they will avoid roof penetrations when the company has a warranty/guarantee against roof leaks on the contract.

Eliminate the use of panels on the roof in the first place. Who wants holes in the roof...i don't .. put them in the ground without shade. They need to have electrical engineering two year degrees licenced with the govenment too every two years with continuing education. Because ....they don't all keep up on the technology either..

It's better to use fossil fuels to energise homes, untill solar panels can be manufactured without burning fossil fuels or by a way which generates 0 carbon emmision, behind the scenes solar panels are causing more damage to environment than fossil fuels

Absolute bollocks. In Australia after less than 12 months a solar panel has generated more energy than it took to manufacture transport and install. Don't believe everything you see in a Michael Moore movie.

Nice one Finn, blunt but true. On another matter could you do some stuff on safety - fuses, breakers, combiner boxes, cable sizing etc. In any event keep up the good work .
