Sometimes they look like this because that's the way they looked when you bought them, sometimes it's because of humidity or sunlight and then sometimes I've heard when you fertilize it the fertilizer burns the tips because the plants too sensitive or the fertilizers too strong. If they get too dry their leaves will dry up too.

Hi completely agree! They are definitely reason for the cause of brown leaves. Thank you for your time tips. Have an awesome day. ❤

Browning edges are a common problem with these plants there are so many advisory tips on what it could be I wouldn't know where to start it could be anyone of them. I wouldn't go buying humidifiers and changing soil pH or repotting them as suggested elsewhere. I live in u.k. its humid here my house grows mould naturally. Even if I ask at the RHS they will give out the standard info like spraying them which I never take notice of.

Hi Alistair, If your place is humid enough and there is no need to repot, l would suggest changing the type of water that is used to either rain wster/ distilled water/ filtered watered. That's the easiest first step to do and see how it goes. Hope that helps. Happy Calathea Gardening ❤️

My friend told me is because water pH. The best pH level is 5.5 to 6.5. rain water is around 3.5. and tap water is 7.8.

Hi Friend, That's interesting, l haven't about PH effecting the leaves. Thanks for sharing and Happy Gardening ❤

Tap water depends on the country. Not every tap water is the same.

I use bottled water with my orbafolia. I mist her every morning and her leaves are still turning brown. I’m ready to give her away and just buy another one that has no brown spots, but I’m not going to.

Hi , may change to distilled water or rain water. I wouldn't bother with misting it's not going to do much. Happy Calathea Gardening ❤️

Nothing is wrong with. I would just throw it away 😂. One of my favorite plants but it’s slowly turning onto my arch nemesis. I always give it optimal conditions and it continues to brown on me.
