Yup, we recently stopped seeing any creator funds come in and that prompted me to check my account status, which I’ve never done before, no reason to, and saw that I was at “high risk of being restricted because of my violation history” of which I had none. Update: TikTok for the most part NO LONGER gives you a reason why your content was removed, for most of your removed content, the reasoning would be very vague which a lot of people have already pointed out. It's being removed for the reason of "violating community guidelines" and if you appeal it, it will be shot down within an hour. I am assuming it's an AI removing content not an actual person because an actual person would at least clarify the reason for the removal instead of giving a vague label like "community guidelines". There is nothing we can do about this, TikTok at the end of the day can do whatever they want to their user accounts.

I got banned for 2 days for putting a picture in a video saying 'suck my butters' I understand why this got taken down but what pissed me off is that my friend used the exact same image and the video has been up for 2 days now. 8 months later... I had the same issue just today. I'm relatively new to TIKTOK. I avoided the platform for a long time simply because I wasn't interested in another platform, but then I realized the popularity could be beneficial to my creativity. Low and behold, I did a lip sync type video which joked how someone broke into my house and I didn't call the cops, alluding to I took care of it. Of course, many others have done this lip sync with various threats to the intruder, using numerous threatening tools as a visual. As for me, I ended with a butcher knife in my hand, alluding I took care of the problem. My video was immediately removed. Obviously, an AI removal. Of course, I appealed it, but when doing so, saw no option to add any comment about the fact this was a TIKTOK routine done by many others who displayed all sorts of other weapons, yet remained on TIKTOK. My appeal was denied three hours later. I was flabbergasted because it's obviously a joke that TIKTOK allowed, but now is limiting what is displayed as a "weapon" of choice. Yet, I've seen other violent weapons displayed in previous versions of the skit. I wanted to express that fact, but I wasn't given that option. Again, the appeal was denied, and while my content up to that point has been squeaky clean, now I have this black mark against me that contradicts what they allow on their platform. At the same time, you have near pornography and other violent themes allowed by higher profiled users on TIKTOK.

I cover mostly military history, and since WWII is extremely popular it’s difficult to produce content related to say Germany or Japan, which is what everyone loves to see the most unfortunately. Videos on war footage in particular are heavily censored. I don’t have any issues with my POV content, but I deliver my content using in several different formats, which makes me somewhat unique I guess. I also have two BA’s in the discipline of history so I am a SME and not just an enthusiast lol But in the end, it’s still hard unfortunately. But anything you can do to offer advise or help on some way, once my shadowban lifts I would certainly incorporate those ideas. Thank you! Sincerely appreciate it!

A few minutes ago, i got 3 OF MY PERFECTLY APPROPRIATE VIDEOS deleted. If i get one more "violation", there's a possibility I can get banned for some period of time or even lose some features. Almost 20 of my videos have been violated for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I have appealed every single one, yet only 3 of them have actually been allowed back up. I think some of the content you showed is outdated. They no longer have the option to leave an explanation as to why your content should be restored in an appeal and also when getting banned on live the ban notification looks different. It feels as if the more popular the app gets the worse their appeal process. As Joseph was basically conveying, we need to remember from he said that for some creators, their relationship maybe be different with TikTok, because those with e.g., 50K subs may have a community manager overseeing them and so experience more leniency, rather than being subject to the automated AI regulation in general, The outcome would be that a gesture may be okay for some, but not for others. Also, I thought that Joseph was also basically conveying that if you at all think that something that you intend to do may result in a restriction, then it is best not to do it. You and I may not really be able to tell if behind the scenes what strikes certain people's account histories have, or if they are sliding towards eventually getting their accounts banned. It might seem to us that they are currently getting away with things, but ultimately, they may not.

Tiktok community guidelines are very unprofessional 1. Many of them do not understand other languages, and sometimes misinterpret languages from other countries. 2. They also block for no apparent reason. As in my case, they block my video but allow other videos that have the exact same content. This is so ridiculous. 3. Their judgments are sometimes based on unreasonable algorithms and often just their personal opinion. They should make community guidelines from educated and educated people. So that their judgment does not look haphazard. 4. Tiktok is very ungrateful, they get a lot of profit from our videos as users, but they will promote if we do partnerships. Obviously our video views are not increasing because TikTok is unfair and favoritism in broadcasting all of our videos (only choose those who pay). Hopefully Tiktok will end its heyday and a new platform will emerge that is more reasonable in assessing user content.

Educated people? I don't know about Tiktok but I've seen the pay scheme of content reviewers on another social media. There's no way someone educated with any serious job prospect would do this job. Secondly, the number of reviews they have to make to get what would be minimal legal pay where I live is astonishing (granted, an average pay might be significantly lower if they live in a developing country), it would amount to some seconds for each item reviewed. So, they're basically trained to work in "automatic mode", noticing quickly issues and reacting immediately to them before going on to the next item to review.Thirdly, they're heavily penalized financially, or can be summarily fired (they're contractors, not employees) if they make too many mistakes, in theory in both directions (allowing what's forbidden or blocking what is allowable) but in practice mostly if they allow content that should be banned. So they of course act very conservatively. An example is that a certain type of content is forbidden, with some specific exceptions. Content that should benefit from these exceptions is almost never actually allowed, as in most cases it would be a judgement call, and they're not going to take this risk. You may risk having a video taken down, or even your account banned, but what they risk is their job and rent and food money. Oh, and they don't necessarily have a good command of the language used in the content submitted to them, not even English, so expect any subtlety to go over their head, especially if you're using some not terribly common language.... In particular, I would never expect them to allow content that is intended as sarcasm or humor but superficially appears to be hateful or otherwise forbidden, they'll probably click immediately on "delete/ban" without thinking upon hearing/reading the words. So, if it works the same with Tiktok (I wouldn't know, but I'm guessing that it's probably very similar), keep in mind that your review is made in an extremely short time by someone probably not very educated and certainly underpaid, afraid of losing pay or job if he mistakenly allows your content. And who of course doesn't give a shit about your video (one among millions of others, regardless how important it feels for you) being taken down. There's a second level of review, made by actual employees of the company, for whom, hopefully, this wouldn't apply and who might actually have "being fair with content creators" as one of their goals (but even then, they're probably going to be conservative as well, deleting a post is of almost no consequence, while allowing something that would be deemed inappropriate by a lot of users could potentially start a major controversy), but I wouldn't know what will trigger such an higher level review. My guess would be accounts with a very large following, and maybe ordinary users making a ruckus if the first reviewer was very very obviously wrong. So, if you're an ordinary, anonymous, content creator, I wouldn't expect a human review to be in fact much superior to the algorithm's decision.

I reloaded the app after deleting it, and went back on it; and then they took off all of sounds from my videos They said it was “Community Guidelines,” allover. It’s all family friendly videos too! It doesn’t make sense because I’ve seen other users copyrighted from movie scenes. Especially episodes from “The Mandaloroan,” show for example. I just don’t understand why they didn’t get into trouble, but I feel like someone reported me for no reason; so I deleted the app for good. Its not a bug. Somebody claims your audio to get you to appeal it at which stage they receive your full name adresss etc if you filled out the appeal form with that info

Hmm..that’s a bit odd. How are you utilizing trending audio in particular? Unfortunately, TikTok does not isolate your voice from the sound you use so when they mute the video, it’s a blanket standard across all sounds.

I got banned for my reply to trolls that attacked my walls after several viral videos that went into the 10's of million views. I'm sure you are familiar with this attack. Anyways my question is what to do about the comment section. I'm a doctor and many times people reach out to me in that department but many wars have started because suddenly I'm being attacked. I think in general you should be fine. TikTok used to have a running list (back in June) but they removed it due to hate and backlash. The skateboard landscape I think is generally safe and I would make use of the caption space.

@@TheJosephTodd So interesting update. I was crushing it with views and starting to get my engagement levels really high. Backend views were starting to stack from stuff I'd posted weeks before and it was balanced across a number of videos. Then a few days ago it was like a switch was flipped overnight and my FYP recommendations got turned off almost entirely. My videos are getting higher engagement, watch completion, and watch length percentages than ever from my followers. Sometimes hitting 140% watch time with 60% watch completion rates, but little or sometimes no FYP at all. All skate content. The only thing I can possibly think of to trigger something was that this happened about the same time I engaged in conversation with a livestreamer about religion, but that didn't even get toxic or anything. Though there were some potential keywords that maybe could've set it off? We were talking about old testament stuff like the morality of God ordering mass genocide. So keywords out of context maybe affecting my whole account? But I've never heard of a livestream conversation mattering, and if it does then I'm seriously wondering how worthwhile a platform that shadowbans people over even side conversations that were amicable in nature, but involved serious subject matter. I dunno. It's just really weird that my engagement is really good consistently, but the views were like shut off. Does this sound normal to you? Any thoughts?

I was curious. I got this notification "Your Duet or React video is removed because the original video violated our Community Guidelines" but when I went to my video it was still up and the original video (not mine) was taken down. I went ahead and removed mine just in case since it did not give me an option to appeal so my question is does that count as a flag against my account? I've heard of this happening - I think you should be fine. Sometimes TikTok doesn't catch onto restricted audio until others have already made use of it. Usually, all videos get muted or pulled down (over time not all at once), so it's probably good that you preempted that by removing the video ahead of time.
