How do the written forms and the spoken forms of the Thai language work? For example 'สนามบิน' in the spoken form but 'ท่าอากาศยาน' in the written form?

I have been to Thailand many times and know Thai people, but I have never heard an airport referred to as ta agat yan ท่าอากาศยาน

ท่าอากาศยาน is a formal word for สนามบิน 👍🏻 The examples of written vs spoken are - we say มั้ย while a lot of times writing ไหม - we say ยังไง while a lot of times we writing อย่างไร - we say วันนึง for วันหนึ่ง It's about shortening sound or changing the tone of the word when it's spoken.

🤗 actually, ไม่นะครับ with นะ has a subtle meaning which is... No, that's wrong... If you want to make your saying no sounded polite and soft, try saying ไม่ครับผม or when refuse some offers, say ไม่เป็นไรครับ
