Thank you! You answered so many questions that I've had. I first started learning Thai because I love Thai drama, and I became aware that the subs were inadequate. Anyone who explains casual spoken vs. more formal textbook Thai nuance in speech always makes me so happy! I've noticed some of these examples in dramas, and this video is the first time I've seen a lot of them addressed. Particularly the ทำไม --> ไมอ่ะ example. Is แก another impolite/infomal particle? (from the example โทษนะเเก (min 04.34) Thank you again for explaining these things. I always enjoy your videos so much.

แก is an informal 'you' mostly used with friends or close friends in the same age

@@letslearnthai I watched this video a few days ago, and I've just been digesting everything in it because this is so much good stuff in it. I feel like shortened words and phrases was such a hard thing to notice as someone learning Thai that now that I'm FINALLY starting to be able to pick some shortened words out in drama, it's making so much difference. Everytime I watch one of your videos explaining something I feel like I immediately start noticing it in Thai dramas for the next few days. Apparently I have seen this video before and commented on it, but I only retained about 20% off the information, but I'm having the same reaction as my past self: which is: this video is so helpful. Thank you! Also, last time I asked you about แก, and now I'm pretty sure that you actually covered that in one of your first ten videos. I need to keep watching through your channel. Obviously so many of my questions have already been answered by you if I can find the right lesson! Thank you for redirecting my attention to this video.

Very interesting, thanks a lot for this video. I've never heard anyone saying "ครับ", though, except in a very sarcastic or ironic speech. To my ears it always sounds like คับ or คัฟ. Sometimes, however, men use คับผม for yes, but usually they simply say คับ or ใช่คับ. So what's the secret behind คับผม? What is the difference between ใช่คับ and คับผม?

Hello! Just found your channel. Do you know the best way to go about finding a school for learning Thai language? I’m in Surin. Thank you P! Oh also what you’re explaining about rolling the R A-RRRRai…I noticed that can depend on region too. Some Thais I know pronounce with more of an L sound than R. Or maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about. Lol!

What about "na"? I noticed this ends many Thai phrases.

Today, what‘s good to eat? What‘s this for a question🤔
@letslearnthai Жыл бұрын
It is similar to the English, what're we having for dinner? Or what shall we eat? You know we have different ways to say things
