I won a government contact with Indian Health Services when I first started. I UNDER bid my first contract by thousands and had to live with it for 5 years! I just renewed but this time I bid the right amount. And I got it! Great advice. I learned all of this stuff the hard way too.

How do you bid ?
@truckingwithtobee Жыл бұрын
@@jarekvance8455 First get your business registered in the SAM system. Then once you do that you can bid on jobs within your NAIC code. You will have to learn how to write a bid the way the government wants. They are very easy particular. There’s lots of KZbin videos on how to correctly write a bid. Or there’s businesses that will write it for you although I don’t recommend that route. It’s just too expensive. Also, research how much you should bid for that particular contract.

Your videos are excellent. I am usually on the other side of the table (the client) and you cover all the things that are good to maintain contracts. I am the liaison between the company and the contractor and have been in this role for 25 years for 3 different manufacturing companies awarding $100 k plus contracts. Keep up the good work.

It's not only holding onto bad hires it's also hanging onto bad clients as well. E.g. clients who repeatedly refuse to pay and keep trying to add on extra jobs eventhough the service agreement states it will cost more for extra work. I had a cleaning client one time who originally wanted me to clean just their kitchen and bathroom. When I got there they also wanted me to change bedsheets and do the ironing as well. The clothes were still wringing wet straight from the washer. I explained to him that the agreement was just for the kitchen and bathroom and it would cost him extra if he wanted me to carry out other tasks. They reluctantly paid me for cleaning the bathroom and kitchen but still tried to haggle the price down but I wouldn't budge on the price as they were already getting a discount as they had a physical disability. I did feel sorry for them but I decided that I would not return back again after he called me the following week and wanted me to reduce my prices even more with even more work added to the list.

Thanks for a great video. I didn't make too many mistakes because I watched your video last year on the mistakes you made. However I did make the mistake of renting out an ofc space in the 1st 3 months after opening, cash flow was slow but thgt I needed it to store our product and interview potential employees WRONG. Most of the time ppl didn't show up and the products we could have kept in our home. So we wasted 380.00 per month on an off space we rarely used. We got rid of it in July.. Can you do a video on how to pay yourself.

Can you explain more in details why it was a waste? because I landed a contract with a mangent company so they have 40 properties they want me to clean so i thought it would be wise to get office space and hire about 15-20 cleaners so you think it a bad ideal? how was slow months etc?

I started a cleaning business 2 years ago. I wasn't consistent now back at it full force I feel like I have to reset again. I have committed to 2 months haha and it seem like I just can't find workers, I forget certain things to clean in the Airbnb, working with a property management company it's like when dryers are broke or take 3 cycles to dry I leave linen in there and leave. I just can't seem to find balance. I know it's only been 2 months but I feel like I'm losing it😂🤣
