HOW TO - BABY BOOMER USING MAGPIE BEAUTY “BABY” PIGMENT

In this video I am trying out the new Magpie Beauty pigment “Baby”
I tried to keep this video shorter buuut I always end up having a bit of a natter so I hope you guys don’t mind 🙈
I’ve seen a lot of videos of how to apply this pigment but I wanted to try a few different techniques so you guys can see what to do and what not to do - so hope it helps!

So glad I found this video . Can I ask why you didn’t just top coat after the pigment? Why did you add a clear gel layer ? Thanks

Ah thank you! I always do a clear layer of gel when using any pigment or stamping etc, it just helps with the wear of the product and I find if you go in with top coat sometimes it can wear away at the free edge so I like to encapsulate it first and then top coat 🥰 x

Hi. Is it necessary to use a matt topcoat? Can I use a glossy one?

No, you need a matte top coat. If you use a glossy one it won’t give anything for the pigment to stick to ☺️

Ive tried so many times to do this and after I’ve wiped the matte top coat the pigment doesn’t stick, I’m so frustrated, please can you help?

Awh no that’s annoying!! I’ve never had any issues with it myself, I have seen some people either don’t wipe afterwards and go straight in, or they cure for half the time - apply the pigment and then finish curing. I’ve found it’s harder to blend this way but still definitely do-able so might be worth a try if you’re not getting on with the technique I use? ☺️ x
