I tried really hard, imagining doing this by myself. I fully understood how to execute and feel every part of the process but my brain screams "don't you dare!" just by going trough some of the steps in my head. It's insane how much commitment you have to put in this trick. Otherwise if I imagine replacing the dirt, foampit or airbag with water I don't hear the voices as strong:D Think it's really just the fear of smashing head first into the ground..
@pinkbike6 жыл бұрын
Trying to backflip into a foam pit or water is always the best way to go. Once you realize the steps, doing it on dirt doesn't seem so bad!
@coltonsowsun36812 жыл бұрын
I have backfliped on skies before on 30-50 ft table tops. Committing was definitely hard do it in foam first if you can. You will know when its the right time, if you listen to your body don't rush it.

I wonder if I will ever do a backflip. I will buy me a dirtjump bike soon so I can learn the backflip on that but even if I can do that I wonder if I,like ever do it on my freeride bike

The backflip is the easy go to trick...yeah for sure it must be sooo easy to flip a bike
@haitz46 жыл бұрын
it actually is, its just hard(or even very hard) on the mental side. Same with suicide no hander, although backflip needs a little more technique
@freerider87376 жыл бұрын
Dude trust me as someone eho can backflip it really is easy just like bar spins. Its all a mental battle man its so scary to learn but once you have them dialed they are easy

would playing with rebound also help ... like a lil faster in the front and slower in the back?
@pinkbike6 жыл бұрын
Maybe a little difference...but sticking with rebound you're comfortable with would probably be more beneficial!
@freerider87376 жыл бұрын
Stick with what your used to. If your going to adjust anything make the rear scock harder and more compression

Not gonna lie I would not trust a trail bike on a red bull track and if you want a heavier bike that is stronger or more 16kg with carbon frames then yes I recommend a stronger bike for stunts lol trail bikes can be faster on a trail but each bike has a purpose down hill bikes are made to be strong to withstand red bull stunts

Actually, it's made to get hammered, getting impacts, jumps, and even tricks? It has stronger everything, bigger hubs, and stuff, so I don't see why a downhill bike shouldn't backflip, you can even fail a little bit, the bike will still be there.
