I love these videos. Just got back into skating and have been binge watching this channel for weeks. Love the instruction style and vibe and have been seeing some incremental progress already. Not ready for a backside 180 quite yet, but getting there.

It really is a mental game. When I was younger I just threw my body at stuff and it either worked or I got destroyed. 38 and still skating. Healthier than ever. Visualize in the mind and the body will follow. Backsides are hard tho..

I'm a beginner and it's just too fast for me. There are so many "tricks" that can be learned between "more serious" tricks mentioned in the boot camp series. Cavemans, board pick-ups, rail stands, reverts, bonelesses... Never Stop Improving channel has a video series that has lots of those systematically picked, ordered by complexity. I liked it, because it's easy to follow. It's more fun with those smaller tricks as you get the feeling of progression. I believe those make you a more well-rounded skateboarder.

Hi Aaron, I have 2 really beginner questions: - I often can't figure out where the front side of the board is. When I look at the shape they both are pretty the same to me. So can you help somehow with it? - Is it ok if I pop from the "wrong side" by accident? I mean also the front side of the board instead of backside. I can already do ollies but such questions like this can't live me in peace. My biggest dream is to be able to do kickflips. Thank you very much in advance!
@you2be_user Жыл бұрын
In addition to my questions I would like to ask: Is it ok to ride my board with the backside in front of me? Does it influence my skating somehow?
@jdmslider Жыл бұрын
Tbh honest bro, it’s your choice. People skate whatever side they want. You can tell the nose side from the tail because of you view it from the side the front is steeper than the back. Hope this helps

For an absolute beginner like myself, yeah you are going a bit fast. Then again I am in the northeastern U.S. as opposed to the San Fransciso bay in the middle of winter where I would have more days to ride. Maybe throw in a video covering manuals, no complies and other tricks for us that are strugling with the ollie at the moment. Oh I landed a vanilla milkshake today.

They post videos here everyday so they need as much content as possible. Sometimes more than one video a day. Just be patient that they are getting the easy tricks out the way before the harder trick tutorials.
