Min - I think Matt is referring to morning slowing from one side of the cable to underneath the cable. So drift refers to moving slowly and in control from one side of the cable to under the cable. I think if you watch the video here and you can see what Matt does when is says drift. Hope that helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpzGoZyFhZtqjbM

@@LagoonWatersports THX a lot. I see Matt always does drift technique by using toe edge to get away of cable and then by using heel edge to get back to underneath the cable. Is it a must? can man also do it first by using heal edge to get away of the line and then by using toe edge to get back? or the second kind of drifting technique is not good for practising BS surface 180??

@@minzhu3244 By cutting out on the toe edge to get away form the cable, and then cutting back inside on your heel edge, your arms naturally are in front of you allowing you to initiate more momentum into the backside rotation. If you were to first cut on your heels, and then back towards the cable on your toe edge, you arms are already by your front hip making it a lot more difficult to initiate the backside rotation. So, for a beginner, the second kind of drifting you suggest is not recommended no. Hope this helps.
