Restore coding like that is only works when your backup CAFD coding file corresponds with actual SWFL. But usually after key adding or some modification of FEM it is NOT recommended to leave "modified" unsecured flash in FEM and in case after update FEM update you will get new SWFL version which will not correspond with you backup coding files. Ops :)

Hi was working on bmw F31 320 2017 and the fem shut down now we have to replace it with another one which we don't have the coding backup so is there any other way to restore these settings please your help would be much appreciated thx Lyes

Your only option really is to use dealer level software like EYS
