Thank you! I have been experimenting with cellular as a backup to Starlink. I love your attention to detail.

A huge thank you!!! First, for stating that any internet can have connectivity issues. Second, for providing a succinct video. I'm not very tech savvy, and I know that I can do this. Finally, love the resources. It's very helpful. Love the kitty and again, Thank you!!

Any plans to do a video on how to do bonding with the B One? Kinda curious to see how much it would boost speeds by bonding all your different Starlinks together

Yes, I am working on a video about backing up Starlink with Starlink. I will talk about bonding as well. I've always been interested in combining the power of two dishes together, and I will test out for that video!

I already have an Orbi Mesh network established which gives me great coverage, can the Peplink B be put into bypass mode so I can use my own router and just let the Peplink steer the best connection??? Thanks for any advice.

I have a Tp-Link TL-ER6120v3 with 4 gigabit wan ports with two 15mbps ADSL, one 100mbps and i'm working to get starlink in the fourth wan port, currently balancing all connections, really simple but powerful way to get internet redundancy.

Great video! I would love to see a site to site VPN with Peplink routers. I have been struggling to make this work...

I have a similar setup using a GL.inet Puli AX 5G router and a standard Starlink Gen 3 kit.

Is there any possibility that starlink can be used in a country which is still pending for approval?

Random question: Do I need to pay a subscription to use the router basic configuration? You mentioned that the default configuration was fine, but it has a few seconds delay. I want to get one to use it with my Starlink configuration but wanted to make sure there is no hide subscriptions besides the 5G data which is obvious. In less words, do I need the SF Connect subscription, or I can run it with the default setting with the few seconds delay? Thank you, wonderful video.

The unit comes with a year of SF Connect, which I believe is 500GB of SFC data. To continue using SFC features like WAN smoothing, you would need to refill your SFC data (I believe it's $18 for 500GB). Alternatively, some of their care plans also come with SFC. And finally, if you use their eSIM data plans, you get an allotment of SFC data as well. If you notice in the video on the router dashboard, it shows I have 700GB of SFC data. 500GB is from the base warranty included with the unit, the other 200GB is from the eSIM data plan I purchased. If you don't want to use any of the SFC features or pay for it (like if you use your own SIM card), the base failover config would work fine for most situations.

Can this be used as a load balancer with another ISP?
@StarlinkHardware4 ай бұрын
Yep! This unit can combine up to 3 WAN connections (you can use one LAN as virtual WAN), plus cellular. Virtually any configuration you can think of can be done.

Great video. I use a couple of Peplink routers (in synergy) with my Starlink.

I currently have a Peplink MAX BR1 MK2 router using an AT&T single carrier "unlimited" data plan. My question is can I use my existing cellular as primary and Starlink as my backup (the opposite of this video) I am considering purchasing a Starlink Gen 3 standard antenna and a 50GB Roam plan. This is in my RV which I currently only use in a limited capacity. Not sure if my current router can do SFC and/or WAN Smoothing. Thanks
@StarlinkHardware3 ай бұрын
@@markratliff7991 It has a WAN port, so you should be able to set it up like I did in the video, except reversed with cellular as primary.

That’s cool but I have no 5g service in my area randomly I get 1 bar of 5g but it’s so slow I live up in the mountains so the signal for my closest 5g tower is obstructed big time

Can I use my Fibre optic network as the backup instead of the cellular?
@StarlinkHardware4 ай бұрын
Yes, Peplink has a cheaper version of the B One router that doesn’t have cellular on board. It has multiple WAN ports. Plug in Starlink and fiber into the router, and set it up basically like I did in this video, with Starlink as the 2nd priority.

Is SFC required to enable Hot failover capability?
@StarlinkHardware3 ай бұрын
Yes for the bonding and hot failover. You can set up a basic failover with a bit of a delay without SFC.
