The charcoal you put on the lid to cover should be more than the below charcoal, which should be minimal so that it doesn't burn before it is ready

first make your icing by combining confectioner's sugar with boiling water, then stirring until it gets to your desired consistency. Flavor it with vanilla and add a few drops of food coloring if desired. Place a spoonful of icing on top of the cake and spread it evenly across the top and sides
