Rocco, thank you so much for those hints...it was loose screws on the upper engine support bracket...replaced a washer that was missing and tightened. The give away was the hardware, mismatched. Thinking previous owner lost one of the screws after mounting the crash bar so he just put something that fit in that hole. Thank you so much Rocco. You were and will continue to be, a big help when I have to work on my bike. Hope you feel the love. Peace and Keep on riding, Mr Kim

Have you ever used balance beads in motorcycle tires. 2 oz’s required in front 21” tire with spokes. I’m just replacing that tire now. New tube and spoke strip. I install balance beads in back tire on my 2003 1200 custom XL when I changed out the tire last year. The bike has a lot less vibration now at highway speed. I am using Michelin Commander ll. These tires work well and seem to go the distance. 18,000 miles(29,000km)on front tire. Rear tire 14,500(23,500km) both tires to wear bars. This bike originally came with Dunlops you could never take your hands off the handlebars it would go into a front end wobble immediately. With the Michelin’s never been an issue problem ceases to exist now.

Hey Rocco... Your Video has helped me out tremendously just like all your other videos have that ive watched! I was hoping you could help me out by answering this question. Could I install the front wheel onto my forks with the fork tubes slid up in the clamp? I Have 8 inch over tubes and I cant get the bike lifted enough to put the wheel on. The forks are to close to the ground but was curious if I could just install the wheel with the tubes further up the clamp and then slide it back down after i put the wheel on
@TwoWheelRocco11 ай бұрын

I see the handlebars might get away of those tubes sliding up. as long as you leave the fender on it'll keep the two forks true slide it up as much as possible using Jack under the frame to get yourself a little height. Is there any chance you can make a front wheel alignment video. My handle bars not aligned with my front wheel. They are off slightly. Do I just undo to upper and lower pinch bolts and compress the front brake and push the front suspension down a few times and it should centre itself out? I can’t find anything for sportsters on you tube but I find lots for sport bikes.
@TwoWheelRocco Жыл бұрын
Happy to help. The first thing to look at is the wheel aligned with your front fender the second thing now if you look at your handlebars, you might be able to loosen up the bolts under the tree. handlebars and shift it over a little bit it sounds like your bushings are getting a little worn. I would just tighten them sometimes they get loose. The third would be to loosen the clamps on your handlebars and shifted over. Doing for pinch bolts can collapse your forks ride to the fender. Front wheel will have to be off the ground to unloosen the four Pinch Safely. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and all your support Ray. Ride safe and have a great day

@@TwoWheelRocco so you suggest I just loosen the pinch bolts ( top, and bottom) on my tripple tree and just stand in front straddle the tire and twist my bars over to be aligned with the front wheel just as you would on a dirt bike or a bicycle then re tighten to spec and go about your day riding?
@TwoWheelRocco Жыл бұрын
@@raymondrisk66 no, I did not suggest to loosen those pinch bolts like on a dirt bike and think you're very straight in the front. suggested that you adjust the handlebars, if the handlebars are a little out of line with your front wheel, don't loosen up no pinch bolts just twist it the front. and see if that helps.
