Great tips. I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. Medication has helped me immensely. My advice to any producer is to be realistic about your session. Exploring, learning and trying new ideas is fun, but aim for goals within your skill level and you'll have a more productive, enjoyable session imo

Good call. As a mother and wife, I can tell you that the right person who truly honors you will not force you to make that choice. You will have to make compromises for any relationship, but a categorical choice to completely cut off music from your life shouldn’t ever be a choice someone is presenting to you.

@@michellepollace5327 Sounds right. I find it harder to justify being a simple electronic music amateur with no instrumental background. That's a me problem here... This is still a valid point, thanks.
