Hi Gillian. I discovered you online recently and love your channel. I also love your passion for eating healthy and living well. I just wanted to pass something on to you that John Kohler has said many times. He recommends letting the juice flow out of the machine most of the time. He believes that if you allow the newly made juice to collect in the juicer, it negatively affects your yield. Probably not a lot, but he's the expert and I didn't know if you had ever heard that. I have the Green Stars from costco right now. It's a good juicer but as you know it's loud, takes alot of work to juice and then clean it. Cost is the same as the Nama2 juicer. Thanks for the demonstration!

Hey there! I have a Nama also and I love it. Quick question, is there any benefit to not straining your juice? Such as more fiber or anything like that or does it not really matter. Thanks!

With the nama it's pretty clean juice anyway so I don't think you need to....I just like to to take it to the next level but with this particular machine I don't see too many differences if you don't also....

Hi Gillian!!! I’ve found that green juices start to lose their delicious taste after a day or two in the fridge (even with the Nama). Any advice on how to keep that flavor? Have you ever tried freezing?

Try squeezing some lemon or lime into your juices. Citrus fruits are a natural preservative. Hope that helps.

2 small heads romaine, 2 handfuls spinach, 1 peeled lemon, 2 apples, half a bunch of parsley, 1 whole cucumber, 1 whole bunch celery, 1 zucchini and optional ginger!

It is typically best to make juices and drink them fresh...that's what i prefer to do! But i know a lot of people prefer to batch juice like this and put them in the fridge for 3 days or so! I don't freeze them but I know people who do!

Hi Gillian I luv my Nama J2 I’ve had it for almost 2 years.. the only problem I consistently have is pineapples it’s like every other time it clogs. I got it up in small pieces and it still clogs.. I place a little bit in at a time.. no where near the fill mark.. any suggestions

Are you juicing the pineapple core?

Okay, that could be the reason why your juicer is getting clogged. Try cutting around the core. Those fibers are super hard for any juicer to masticate. Hope that helps.

@@4lifeprinciples for me, juicing the core actually helps the process. I have problems with pineapple only when I try to juice them when they’re too soft. They should be more firm than you would allow them to get if you were eating it.

What's the point of batch jiuicing? You will lose most nutrients, especially the enzymes, before drinking most. And the claim that a vaccuum jar would prevent this from happening isn't true either. It'll be a bit slower.
