I can't understand why Mistress and Life on the Hulls do not have more views. Both in Australia. I have watched other boat shows with more views that are not on a par with you both.

I've probably said this before, but I absolutely love it when you insert a photo of whatever bird we hear in the background. Or lizard, or whatever. Any cassowaries around your shop? They're one of my favorite birds.

Thanks very much for your good comments Stu, appreciated and yes, as you know, I do love all creatures and no, no Cassowary's down here, they are only in the Far North Qld Rainforests 🙂🦩👍🏻

Lovely work Bruce, one point I would make is that in a short while you'll never move that seacock handle IF the camera isn't making a false view. As it looks impossible to get more than your fingertips on it, not around it.

Thanks very much rl, appreciated and re. seacock handle, no way would I not have this easily accessible 🙂👍🏻

My uncle called me Sir poopsalot when I sailed with him...11gal black tank seems a bit small? Great work as usual. Bob & "Pirate"
@BuildingSYMistress Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your good comments Bob/Pirate, appreciated and re. holding tank, it is 17gal actually and by this volume stage it would be high on the list to be getting rid of 🙂👍🏻

Great work… but for shelving , could you not use an AJUSTABLE jig( like a capital H on its side to get the main dimensions and work from there🤷♂️
@BuildingSYMistress Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question Steve, appreciated, I am not familiar with your jig idea, however it was quite quick just placing level lines then measuring 🙂👍🏻

You still didn't get the tape roll right! Rotate the roll of tape 180 degrees so you have more control on how tight the tape is applied.
@BuildingSYMistress Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Peter and I do understand your point, but I wouldn't say, 'not right', which way the tape roll is held can be a 'user preference', the end result is the important thing, right?

Hey Bruce, looking at your holding tank, you had enough head room to do a gravity fed system like Vetus tanks use. I’ve just installed an 80 litre gravity discharge system in my boat. Did you consider that?
@BuildingSYMistress Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your good question Jasper, appreciated, I may not understand it correctly - if you mean that I could have had the holding tank below toilet level then yes this could have been possible by placing it in the bilges, however this option would have been much more complicated due to space between hull floors and especially regarding maintenance access and would still require a siphon height and pump to empty the tank. A pump in the system is required whether manual or electric and an electric macerator pump (which Mistress has) either gravity fed or not, is an important part of having a low maintenance and low odour/odour free system and fyi emptying Mistress' holding tank overboard is via gravity 🙂👍🏻
@drjasper100 Жыл бұрын
@@BuildingSYMistress no no. Definitely not below toilet level. Your tank remains exactly where it is. If you can supply me an email address and I’ll send you a diagram from Vetus that explains it better.
